Under Valkyrie's Wing by A Skjold

A collection of darkly humorous stories that will enchant and surprise. Valkyrie, as the angel of death and exiler of earthly love, leads souls beyond the mists of this realm and into the next. Each character finds themselves gripped in dilemma and must make a choice. There is comedy, tragedy and pure fantasy in a kaleidoscope of tales; but in the end all is made fair under the wing of the Valkyrie."A compulsive read that left me thinking about the characters lives. I wanted to know what had really happened to the mysterious Sonja." - judges comment on "Life in the Wall", Runner up, 'Real Writers and Book Place' international 2002 competition.

About the Author

Born in New Zealand, Skjold travelled to Europe to return to the land of her ancestors. Following a serendipitous star led her from building site to drawing board, from treading the boards to set design, and from projectionist's cubby to scriptwriting and journalism. Published works include three novels, various articles on architecture and two short story collections. Her stories continue to win prizes in the international arena. She is married and lives in Denmark.
