I read this book in one sitting and loved everything about it. I think it teaches one more about life and living life well than it does about dying itself. The author's personal journey through grief is expressed and detailed so articulately that it made even the not-so-spiritual person in me sit up and delve into what grieving is really all about, how to prepare for it, and how healing is more of an internalized process and cannot be smothered by external displays of love and caring. I would recommend this book to those in need of a helping hand, of healing and of the ability to see the light inside a dark tunnel. This would make a great gift too, especially because it's not always just about celebration, but also about coming to terms with what life brings at the least expected times.
