About the Author

Bob Shively brings thirty years of experience in the gas and electric industries to Enerdynamics' educational offerings. As President of Enerdynamics, Bob has advised and educated some of the largest energy industry participants on issues including business strategies, developing competitive electricity markets, and implementing new technologies such as renewables and Smart Grid. Bob has also served as Vice-President of eServices of Sixth Dimension, Inc., an energy networking company where he worked closely with retail marketing and ESCO companies. Bob began his career in the energy industry at Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). At PG&E Bob held various positions including Major Account Executive to some of PG&E's largest end-use customers and Director of Gas Services Marketing where he was responsible for product development and sales for the company's $1.5 billion Canadian pipeline project. Bob has Master of Science degrees in both Mechanical and Civil Engineering from Stanford University. He is a frequent energy industry speaker.
John Ferrare has worked in the energy industry as a marketing and communications specialist for over fifteen years. He began his career with Pacific Gas and Electric Company where he was integral in developing the marketing group for the company's Gas Services Marketing Department. Since that time, he has also worked with PG&E Corporation and PG&E Energy Services in the development of marketing and communication strategies. In 1995, John joined Enerdynamics to manage its educational services. In this role, he has helped create a comprehensive program to educate 600 utility employees on the changes brought by recent deregulation as well as the core classes currently offered by Enerdynamics. John, a graduate of Northwestern University's School of Speech, has developed and teaches a public speaking and communications class for a variety of corporate audiences.
Belinda Petty brings more than 20 years of wide-ranging experience in the energy industry to Enerdynamics. Her broad upstream experience includes developing gathering systems in Oklahoma and managing gas processing assets in 11 western states. Her midstream experience includes distributing and selling liquids on the Dixie and Cherokee pipelines, managing gas supply for Conoco Inc.'s refineries, negotiating gas transportation on interstate pipelines, and selling gas and gas services for Conoco's 100 MMcf/d and Union Pacific's 500MMcf/d western gas portfolios.
