So bad I couldn't finish. Story really had no beginning and just wandered . I finally gave up.

This book was recommended to me by a discount ebook service based on the reading preferences I listed when joining their site. I am a voracious reader of historical western romances and I have discovered some great titles by authors new to me through this method. I am sorry to say that this book did not engage my emotions or keep my interest. There was not enough depth given to the two main characters, and the secondary characters were not developed enough to be interesting. The ending was abrupt and unexpected, and thoroughly unsatisfying. This book is part of a series, but I've only read this one title.

Although it kept me interested at most times it had a lot of slow boring parts and when something interesting did happen it didn't elaborate well at all and left you with more questions then answers.

Had its moments but so far and few between. Marie needed a backbone with the twins.

Loved the book, just wished it had not stopped so suddenly. I was waiting for their marriage to take place.
