About the Author

Kimberly Derting has been in love with love since the first grade, when she would make "boyfriends" hold her hand during recess . . . whether they wanted to or not. In high school, she discovered romance novels and she's been hooked ever since! She is the award-winning author of the Body Finder series, the Pledge trilogy, and the Taking trilogy. Her books have been translated into 15 languages, and both The Body Finder and The Pledge were YALSA Best Fiction for Young Adults selections. These days, she spends entirely too much time ordering stuff off the Internet, binge watching Netflix, and holding hands with a guy who doesn't have to be forced (her husband).

Undressed takes place in Sunny California. A great escape from the European winter chill. Will was working his way to the top of the surfing circuit when he had an accident. He dwelled in self pity, until an emergency called him back home. He has to get his act together to take his new found responsibilities seriously. To do that, he becomes a "Jack of all trades". His good looks and perfect physique make him popular in one of these trades. He plays along, but his duty comes first. Lauren is a student with a secret. Her secret is safe until someone comes knocking on her door. What follows could become a threat. The Californian beach has beckoned to her since her childhood and now is a good time to make her escape. A dream come true! She meets Will for the first time that evening and he is just the type that she avoids. Then, what is it about him that gives her the fuzzy feelings? Will is surrounded by girls who fight for his attention, but he is instantly drawn to Lauren, even if she looks out of place. Here begins the most fascinating relationship. I want you, I want you not! Lauren gets the wrong impression of Will's association with someone else and sets out to avoid him. No such luck, he seems to appear at the most inopportune moments and somehow gets her out of some sticky situations. The problem? Everytime she gets a flicker of hope, he pulls away. Rather exhausting! It's a great concept in tempting locations. The characters are surrounded by mysteries. The romance is spellbinding. Some revelations are quite unsettling. It loses focus in places, but nevertheless an engaging story. I was kindly issued with an eARC and the views expressed are my personal opinion.
