Overview

From USA Today Bestselling author, Willow Summers, comes an action packed romance you won't want to put down.

"Peppered with Summers' brand of humor, the Skyline Trilogy makes for an exquisite read." MarKat ★★★★★

"I love that Jenna is such a strong heroine and Josh is the strong and deadly silent type." Stephanie ★★★★★

All Jenna wants is to grace the NYC skyline with a building of her design. But to do it, she must tear down a neighborhood riddled with dangerous criminals who will stop at nothing to claim vengeance.

Sent away from the threat for a week long tour in the wilds of Colorado, Jenna meets a stranger so intense her desire is equally mixed with fear. Tall, built, and incredibly handsome, he isn't what he seems.

After a mission gone badly wrong, Josh left the SEALs without looking back. Haunted by his past, he hides his identity in order to pick up the pieces. But when he meets the sassy architect, the control he tries so desperately to hang on to, flees.

As their mutual attraction and constant battle of wills sets their bodies aflame, danger once again finds Jenna. Josh must face his past if he ever hopes to bring Jenna out of the wilds alive.

***This is book one of a three book series and they should be read in order.

I like connecting story lines and characters in series. However I like for at least one plot to be finalized in each book. Otherwise this book might rate a 4 star.

Jenna's sarcasm and tough as nails attitude hides a barrel full of hurt. She uses that as a shield so that life will never again defeat her. Josh is the reflection of Jenna. two sides of a coin. These two characters complete each other. I don't think that there's another man out there who can handle this Fireball.

Awesome book and start of 3-book serial read that will have you satisfied and wanting more. Unexpected Hero, book 1 of 3, was an awesome read. I got up at 1 am until 3 am just to finish reading it. Jenna is a tough character and lead architect who pushed past a troubled youth and seems to have it all, brains, money, beauty, as well as a handsome guy, or does she only seem to have it all? Someone or some group also seems to be threatening her first big life's work project, even stealing architectural plans from her bag while protestors for the project assault her on the way to work. Next thing she knows her design team is sent away on a week-long retreat to the middle of nowhere. These city slickers will have you in stitches as they brave the woods following a strong, muscled, silent-type guide going by the name of Chuck. As a man of few words, we are lead to wonder why he is here. He certainly could get a better-paying job. What personal issues is he trying to sort out. What terrible situation occurred to have him emotionally destroyed to the point he walked away from the Navy SEALs? Well, his strong, capable, watchful eyes were there if the group ever needed a hero. What is it about Chuck (real identity Josh/Joshua)? By this end of this first storyline I was lapping it up and craving more. Willow Summers can sure spin a great story with plenty of description behind it!
