A match made in Manhattan...

By-the-book Marianne McBride wants to prove she's more than a computer geek in a pair of horn-rimmed glasses. But how did she end up hiding in a cake, waiting to sing "Happy Birthday" to Nick Wright, a sexy and arrogant serial-dater? Not exactly part of her plan. Especially when she finds herself kissing the birthday boy, and then running like hell...

Nick falls for no woman. No strings, no commitments, and no relationships. Not even with the sweetly curvaceous bombshell from his birthday. But then he's hit by a bombshell of his own. He needs to find the perfect faux fiancée, or kiss his key to the executive washroom goodbye. Fortunately, his matchmaker sister has the perfect girl in mind.

Now Nick and Marianne have to pretend they're in love for six weeks. No dating. No sex. And definitely no acting on the wickedly-hot chemistry that could ruin everything...

Another delightfully fun, sexy novel that made me smile. There really is nothing better than a light-hearted romance to lift your spirits. Unexpectedly His was extremely charming and it shows that true love could be hiding right under your nose. I loved the dynamic between Nick and Marianne. They were two completely different people, at least at first glance. I almost said that Nick was a player, but that's not true. He liked to sleep with many different women, however he didn't lead them on or give them false hope of it turning into anything more than casual. I don't see anything wrong with it, especially since he wasn't promising these women forever; he just hadn't found the right woman yet and his past kept him from even wanting to settle down in the first place. Marianne was very into her work and wasn't really looking for romance. She did have a crush on Nick, but didn't have the courage to act on her feelings; only when she was in disguise for his birthday party did she feel like she could let her inner temptress (or siren, as she called it) out. As an introvert, I can certainly relate, because putting yourself out there can be downright terrifying. Their relationship starts out as a sham, as Nick had to throw together a quick engagement in order to land a huge promotion at work. That may sound crazy, but it makes sense when you find out the story behind it. Marianne quickly had him wrapped around her finger, even though she wasn't like most of the women Nick usually went after. I love that he made her feel sexy and wanted, so she could let her true self shine. In return, she helped him learn to open up and love fully, without reservations. The sex scenes were hot. Despite her reserved outward appearance, Marianne was very confident, probably because Nick made her feel so comfortable in her own skin. They had an intense chemistry both in and out of the bedroom; I went from saying, "Awww" to "Ooooh, that's hot!" I can't say that there were any real twists and turns in this book. Sure, there were a few bumps along the way, some hurdles to overcome, but let's be honest. We don't read these steamy romances looking for mystery and suspense. We read them because they make us feel good and it's exciting to see the characters evolve in different ways, eventually coming together in a happy ending. If you're looking for a book to escape into and unwind, then definitely check out Unexpectedly His.

Nick needs a fiancee to prove he is changing his ways and settling down. His sister Jane tells him to ask Marianne her employee. Marianne has a crush on Nick so agrees to be his make believe fiancee for 6 weeks if he goes to a party at her parents house. Nick agrees and the fun begins. Cute story.

First off, I came to the conclusion I was Marianne right out of the gate. I can hardly see anything without my glasses (or contacts) and the interaction with her and Nick in the first scene just made me cringe and sigh at her lack of vision. I had to laugh. I knew this book would be more than just a guy and girl making a contract and falling helplessly in love. Marianne is the girl who doesn’t get guys like Nick and even he admits that. She isn’t the typical woman he would pick up. Ever. But that doesn’t seem to matter when Marianne just continues to be herself and Nick can’t help but see what a beautiful woman she is on the inside. This, in turn, makes him see her in a radiance he never expected and recognizes his attraction to her. Marianne could be an inspiration to a lot of women. The women that are skimmed over in large crowds because they don’t fit the “Hot”, “She’s a 10” mold. But men fall in love with them once they know their heart. These are the women worth falling in love with. And Marianne was worth it all to Nick. I enjoyed seeing these two change slowly and realistically throughout the book. Their banter was fun and the their ability to still be their true selves was wonderful. I applaud their attempt at not making their relationship more than a contract that was going to expire. But it is inevitable that both of their eyes are opened because of love. Love for each other and love for themselves.

Unexpectedly His was one of those feel good stories. Reviewed by Kim Simply put...I loved Unexpectedly His. Marianne McBride is a nerdy geek girl who is so into numbers, it isn’t even funny. For exactly, five months, fifteen days and six or seven hours she has been crushing on her best friend and boss’ brother, Nick Wright. But Nick is the love them and leave them, no back to back dates kind of guy. When Nick is told he’s a shoo-in for partnership at his firm, he’s also told that his bachelor ways may keep him from having his dream job. In a panic, he admits to having a fiancée. Desperate to find someone to fill the bill, he calls his sister who just so happens to be one of the top matchmakers in Manhattan. Jane comes through immediately with Nick’s perfect match, her assistant, Marianne or new girl as Nick likes to call her. Being in a bind of her own for a date to a family event, Marianne agrees, as long as he will play the role of her boyfriend with her family. Nick and Marianne agree to a six week fake engagement that includes living together, not seeing other people, and absolutely no sex. Things change when Nick and Marianne are forced to kiss each other and he realizes she’s the woman who jumped out of his birthday cake and kissed him. The same woman he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about. Unexpectedly His was one of those feel good stories. You have the Marilyn Monroe loving, computer nerd girl getting the hot sexy bachelor. Over the course of the book, Marianne and Nick became friends who cared about each other to lovers with Nick letting Marianne see parts of himself he doesn’t show people. I will admit to thinking the book was going to be predictable but I was pleasantly surprised by a little twist. Maggie Kelley has written extremely likeable characters that allow you to become invested in their story and their journey to a happily ever after. Unexpectedly His is the second book in the Smart Cupid series but is totally a standalone read. There wasn’t anything about this book I didn’t like. **Received a copy from Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest unbiased opinion.**

What's a charming, commitment-phobic investment lawyer on the fast track to a partnership to do when his playboy reputation is the only thing standing between him and a coveted promotion? Find himself a fake fiancée! And it helps when his sister is the perfect Cupid with just the perfect woman to fit the bill - a buttoned-up computer geek on a quest to find her inner vixen and in need of a date to a family event. A little bit of quid pro quo! Nick Wright and Marianne McBride are very different in every way that counts. While Nick is the fun-loving ladies' man, cutting an impressive swath through the females in the Big Apple, Marianne is the girl who always obeyed all the rules and her inner bad girl is looking to break out. Her crush on Nick is her best-kept secret. Or so she thinks. Until she finds herself agreeing to a temporary six-week engagement at the urging of her boss, a professional matchmaker and Nick's sister. The relationship/marriage of convenience trope is a favorite of mine and UNEXPECTEDLY HIS checks off all the right boxes for me. Nick and Marianne had such great chemistry that their no-sex in the relationship clause was a non-starter. I absolutely love it when the shy, sweet woman blossoms and unleashes her inner vamp under the attention of the attractive, experienced guy. I loved that Nick was all in as soon as he realized he was in love with Marianne and did not spend time fighting his feelings. UNEXPECTEDLY HIS is sweet, sexy and funny, with great characters and a very enjoyable story and I enjoy Ms. Kelley's writing style. My Thoughts: Fake engagement story for the win! This one played out well and ended up being really lovely by the end. Nick and Marianne are kind of a case of opposites attract, but only on the surface. He's that guy who will supposedly never settle down, but he's forced to pretend. The two of them are paired to help him with his predicament and for her to have a date for a family function. They embark on this temporary arrangement, claiming they won't cross any lines. Nick and Marianne realize they need to at least be able to kiss (because that's a given if they're faking an engagement), but that sort of changes when their chemistry is impossible to ignore. Is their relationship really only temporary? Unexpectedly His is an unexpectedly sweet love story. I enjoyed how the two of them went about their fake relationship, how they fought their feelings and acted on some. Nick and Marianne made me believe in possibilities and their sweetness made me smile. They were a great pairing. I'm intrigued for the first book in the Smart Cupid series, Breaking the Bachelor, and more from Maggie Kelley! My Rating: Very Good

This was a lovely story about finding love where you least expect it. When HEA Marrianne and cynical Nick enter an agreement for a 6 week fake engagement, neither thought it would be permanent. But sometimes Cupid has other ideas...

Unexpectedly His was a middle of the road novel for me. I genuinely enjoyed it and it did have it’s funny moments. I would certainly recommend it to others if they wanted something to curl up with and escape for a few hours. The writing is well done and the book can be read as a stand alone novel. I particularly enjoyed Marianne with her horn-rimmed glasses and geeky attitude, the woman basically just needed a shot of self confidence. She seems pretty down on herself at first, but then she channels her inner Marilyn and tends to find her courage. She’s always been aware of Nick, in fact, she’s had a crush on him she started working for his sister. Nick is one heck of a playboy. He goes through women like most of us go through body soap. He’s never noticed Marianne beyond calling her “new girl”, and he’s definitely not expecting to feel attracted to her. What amused me about Nick, is that with his attitude, he though he could just go in, be okay with what was going on, and walk away. I have to laugh at that, because when he gets to actually know Marianne, she’s the very last thing he expected. While I absolutely enjoyed this book, I did have a hard time writing the review. My biggest problem with it was that after three days, I couldn’t even remember what it was about. Mind you, that didn’t play into my rating, I tend to rate my books on GR before I ever write the review. That was a problem, however, it clicked quickly back into place once I read the book synopsis, which does a spot-on job of covering the books contents. All in all, it’s a solid three stars for me, leaning toward a 3.5 and I would recommend it! It’s a big of a different spin on the woman popping out of the cake, fake fiancee trope.

One of the aspects of this story I really enjoyed was how it was short and sweet. Nick and Marianne knew each other for a while before they found themselves in their crazy predicament of pretending to be engaged. The concept of the book was really cute. I won’t lie and say the book isn’t predictable, cause it was, but instead of being an annoyance the predictability actually added to the entertainment of the story. What I didn’t know when I began to read Unexpectedly His was that it was the second book in the series. However, this wasn’t a problem at all. Readers don’t need to read the first book in order to enjoy this one. In fact, the first book centers around Nick’s sister and his best friend. Anything you need to know that happened in that book is explained in this one, and readers won’t feel confused. I also really enjoyed the characters. Both Nick and Marianne were very likable characters, and it was wonderful watching them bumble around with their new relationship. In fact since I enjoyed the characters and writing in this book so much, I actually plan to read the first book as well. Like many romance novels, I didn’t really care for the unnecessary drama added to cause conflict between Nick and Marianne. There are other major events that happen in the story that would have added drama all on their own. The childish miscommunication and misunderstanding to cause drama is an irritation I have in books no matter the genre. I find this also happens a lot in YA books as well. Unexpectedly His is a highly entertaining romance with great characters, a cute story, and a little intrigue. The story is pretty faced paced, and I disappointed when it came to a conclusion, as I could have read more about these two adorable characters. If you are still looking for fun, fast, entertaining books for any last-minute summer vacations, then definitely add Unexpectedly His to your list. This is a book about a cute geek girl and a playboy who fall in love with each other. Marianne is a shy geek, who was told she was boring when an ex broke up with her. Nick is her bosses brother, and she ends up jumping out of a cake and kissing him on his birthday. He doesn't recognize her, and begins a search for a pretend fiancee so he can advance at his law firm. He and Marianne agree that she will be his fake fiancee and he will go to a party with her. Each has their own baggage and history to overcome, to find their happy ending. I really enjoyed this book, because it felt like a fresh take on "My Fair Lady". I fell in love with Marianne, because she was the perfect mix of geek and chic. Nick grew on me, and he eventually evolved into the perfect prince charming. I recommend this book to fans of comtempory romance! I was given a free copy for and honest review by Netgalley.com

This is a fun, sexy story that is wonderfully written with very likable characters. I love Ms. Kelley's writing style and fresh take on the fake fiance/opposites attract/sibling's best friend tropes. I love Nick's sister, Jane! Even though Marianne and Nick are seemingly opposites, their chemistry is awesome. They both help each other grow and overcome their personal issues. A quick, enjoyable read! ARC provided by Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest review.

Actual Rating 3.5 out of 5 Stars! Originally posted on my blog: Tangled Up In Books I received a copy of this book, from the publisher, in exchange for an honest review. In no way did this sway either my review or my rating. Unexpectedly His started off in such a fun way and that grin that it gave me stuck around for nearly the entire book. And while I didn't fall completely head over heels in love with it, I did happen to like it very, very much. I read the first book in this series a few months back and while I had lukewarm feelings toward it at best I knew deep down that it was never an issue with the writing itself, I had liked Maggie Kelley's writing style for sure. My problem was that I started shipping the wrong two people and I couldn't shake that desire to see a different guy with the main character. But one thing that jumped out at me while reading Breaking the Bachelor was the adorable and shy Marianne and the lingering looks she would give her best friend's brother Nick. New woman every weekend Nick. I couldn't help but giggle at the possibilities of these two ending up together. It was even more fun than I had hoped it would be. Even though this trope is getting pretty overused lately, guy needs a fake fiance to get a promotion and the ruse inevitably becomes reality because they fall in love and live happily ever after. I really liked the way it played out here. I think because Nick and Marianne were so vastly different, I mean, she's pretty uptight and straight laced, very conservative and an air of innocence. It just presented so many funny and steamy possible moments. I enjoyed watching how both Nick and Marianne influenced each other and the incredible bond and chemistry that they formed. When things started heating up between them...*fans self* wow. However I feel like Marianne changed way too fast and too easily broke through her nerves and anxiety. I kind of expected her to be more shy or nervous when things would heat up with Nick and I definitely didn't expect her to be as bold as she was. I mean, good for her for finding her inner vixen and letting it shine. Still, it was just too easy. One thing I really loved was the occasional meddling from Nick's sister Jane, the matchmaker extraordinaire herself. She had me cracking up whenever she would sneakily play cupid and then be like "don't be mad..." I really hope there will be more mischief from her in the next book(s) in this series. It was a lot of fun reading Nick and Marianne's story. It was full of sweet and steamy moments laced with lots of humor. Definitely a step up from the first book and I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next in this series! Thanks to Entangled Publishing for the opportunity to read and review this book!

This was a very sweet sexy little story. I loved the opening scene with Marianne channeling her inner siren and kissing Nick after jumping out of the cake. She intrigued him from the beginning. I loved how she became more attractive and just more in his eyes the more he got to know her. I enjoyed her self transformation with a shot of confidence. They were a great couple together. They were both loyal, protective, and understanding of one another. Jane and Charlie were a great added bonus to this story, with their matchmaking and support. I hope we see more in this series. I love their family/friendly dynamic. I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher.

If there's something you should know about me it's that I absolutely adore romances that begin with two people pretending to be in a relationship for one reason or another. I just love watching a romance go from pretend to the real deal. It's up there along with Friends-to-Lovers and Best-Friend's-Brother (which this novel also features) in my 'Romance Trope Hall of Fame'. So, it's safe to say that this book had me hooked from the synopsis alone. Add to that tropey goodness the fact that the heroine is a shy, bespectacled, curvy smartypants with a Marilyn Monroe obsession, and this novel promised to be Cris crack. As expected, UNEXPECTEDLY HIS is an incredibly fun, sexy, satisfying read. Nick is a gorgeous ladies' man who is used to having women play by his rules, not run away from him after surprising him with a birthday kiss. Although he's known and overlooked the buttoned up Marianne for months, he can't get his mysterious 'Cake Girl' out of his head. After a confidence-crushing breakup, Marianne has been trying to awake her inner siren for months and popping out of a cake and serenading her secret crush is just the push she needed. Except an impromptu kiss and her resulting fear has her running for the nearest exit. When Nick suggests a mutually beneficial fake engagement, Marianne is unsure if she can keep her siren, and all those secret fantasies, in check. I really appreciate that Nick and Marianne's feelings weren't instantaneous, but grew and developed throughout the course of the novel. What started out as an unexpected attraction and overwhelming desire really flourished as the lovers got to know and respect each other more. Nick isn't just your typical player with a different woman warming his bed every night. He has a big heart, a strong sense of family, and a need to do what's right and just. Marianne is a genius with numbers and comes from a very wealthy family but she never uses either of those advantages to make others feel like less than her. I enjoyed the teasing banter between the couple and the flaring of jealousy and proprietary feelings throughout the novel. Plus, these two were just hot together. A good portion of the sex scenes focused more on the male perspective which was a really interesting way to observe the couple's chemistry and dynamic. I loved reading all of the hero's dirty thoughts! Marianne is the kind of heroine I can really connect to. She sincerely wants to come out of her shell and express her inner fantasies and passions, but she is overwhelmed by niggling fears and doubts. She's a little sexpot wrapped in the packaging of a cardigan-wearing librarian. I feel like to a certain extent we can all relate to that disconnect between how we feel and how people perceive us. That sense of being overlooked or misunderstood. I've never considered watching Marilyn Monroe movies as bombshell inspiration for a confidence boost but now that UNEXPECTEDLY HIS sparked the idea, I'll definitely be binging on some Netflix this weekend. Though this is the second novel in the Smart Cupid series, it's the first book I've ever read by Maggie Kelley and I don't think I was missing any crucial information. This could totally be read as a stand-alone if you are so inclined but after reading UNEXPECTEDLY HIS I would definitely like to go back and read Jane's story too. If you're looking for a sexy, fun, contemporary romance that'll have your inner siren cheering, go pick up a copy of UNEXPECTEDLY HIS.

Marianne McBride is a computer geek and nerdy but wants to change from her horned rimmed glasses, cardigan and tweed skirt image to something …. something sexier! Somehow she’s ended up ditching her ‘good’ girl image to jump out of a cake and sing “Happy Birthday” to Nick Wright, the brother of her boss and the man she’s been fantasising for much more than she’d ever admit! Nick is a serial dater, determined to fall for no woman but then his cake girl kisses him and he finds himself feeling all protective of her and wanting to get to know her.Unfortunately for him, Marianne’s bravery deserts her after the kiss and she runs away…. Nick needs to find someone to pretend to be his fiancée to ensure he gets the promotion to partner that he’s striving for so long to achieve. Unfortunately he’s been falsely accused of having an affair with a married woman and having a fiancee would really help negate this. He believes he knows just how to get someone – he’ll ask his sister, who has an excellent reputation and business as a matchmaker – to help. When she suggests Marianne he’s not certain he’ll be able to convince his colleagues that he’s fallen for her but when he sees her at the gym and when they kiss he’s not so sure he’ll be able to actually avoid falling for real! Living together for six weeks, no dating, no sex and follow the rules? Love will find a way of striking out the rules and making way for romance between them. This is a great story where events from the past, honesty, attraction and false accusations will all have serious impacts on the lives and loves of the people concerned. There’s intrigue, possible blackmail and romance galore in this funny story which is a great one to escape into. Well written, with a nerdy heroine who proves she’s so much more, a faux fiancee and a hero who’s determined never to love, then does! A lovely read relaxing in the sun for me! Thanks to the authors, publisher and NetGalley, too for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

ARC Unexpectedly His begins when Marianne McBride wants to shake up her world a little bit. She is tired of being the good girl. So, when her friend and boss asks her to jump out of a cake for her boss's brothers birthday and the man Marianne has been crushing on for a long time she takes this opportunity to let her little vixen out. But it goes down a little differently then she pictured. Now, Nick needs her for something more, and she must play along in order to get back at her ex and show everyone she isn't at all like they thought she was. However, she didn't plan on falling for Nick along the way. And she knows that he may never feel the same way she does.. This book was very good! I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the whole plot line from start to finish. It was really fun and excited. And of course extremely humorous as well. Then the characters were just as great! Marianne was a buttoned up good girl, with an extremely daring side that needed to be let out. And Nick was just the perfect man for her. I loved the way Nick's views on everything changed and how we got to see it from his point of view at times as well. Then the epilogue was just awesome too! I really liked this book! It had me laughing, and entertained the entire time I read it. I look forward to more from this author!

This was my first encounter with this authors work and I can say with complete certainty that it won't be my last! This book drew me in right away and had me burning right through the pages, it was SO addictive! The chemistry between Nick and Marianne was off the charts and their encounters had me blushing quite a few times! Nick Wright's hard work has finally paid off and he is enjoying his care free life as a successful attorney. Until he is presented with an unexpected obstacle, he must find a wife and prove that he has sowed his final oat in order to make partner at his firm. So, he enlists the help of his professional matchmaking sister to help him find a fake wife. She finds him Marianne, whom of which, is his complete opposite, and totally not his type...or so he thinks! This was definitely a memorable first read for me, and one I highly recommend you add to your reading list! You will not be disappointed! Awesome sexy fun read that is a great spin on the fake fiancee trope. I really enjoy this author's writing style. A bit of humor, a bit of angst, and a lot of fun make this one I would definitely recommend. Nick is a no commitments kind of guy and perfectly happy, thank you very much. When he's hit with the ultimatum of settle down if you want to make partner, Nick knows he needs to do something. And fast! Going to his sister for help may have been the craziest thing he's ever done! Marianne has always lived life by the book. Just this once she wants to do something crazy. That's how she finds herself jumping out of a giant birthday cake and laying a solid kiss on the birthday boy! Her best friends brother may be the sexist man she's ever seen. So far out of her league, but just this once.....

I am finding myself falling more and more in love with comedic romance. There is just something so reassuring in come across an individual that is experiencing things you are currently going through or have been through in the past. It's easier to laugh about when your own the outside looking in. Unexpectedly His by Maggie Kelley was given to me in exchange for an honest review and I enjoyed it. Breaking out of her self imposed shell allowed Marianne to experience something new and to see herself differently. Maggie Kelley with this story is saying that different is not always a bad thing. It can turn out better than expected.

This is a very sexy fresh take on the nerdy girl meets hot playboy (Nick).....except he never knew she existed. He saw her at least once a week at his sister's offices, but never noticed her or called her anything but New Girl. But Marianne is tired of fading into the background and wants to find her inner siren. Her boss, also the playboy's sister, convinces her to jump out of a cake at her brother's birthday party. She kisses him, wishes him happy birthday, then disappears. Nick's work towards partnership at his firm is suddenly in jeopardy as the existing partners don't think a single man is settled enough to become a partner. Nick's sister suggests Marianne as a fake fiance. Despite their agreement over their fake relationship, something real happens. Yes, this has all been done before, but the author has a wonderful writing style that drew me right in and kept me turning pages to see what would happen next. This is a fun read that is perfect for a day at the beach or curled up in front of a warm fire.

It starts out as a mutual arrangement - pretending to be involved for each other's business/family events and turns into so much more. This relationship of convenience story was a fun romantic romp that I really enjoyed reading. I loved how Marianne was a good girl with a hidden naughty side just waiting to be revealed, and how Nick brought that out in her. They have a great sexual chemistry and their love scenes are hot and steamy. Nick is the typical relationship-phobe guy - looking for quick and easy one night stands and nothing long lasting, though being with Marianne makes him rethink his future. They are both smart, friendly characters and with lots of laughs along the way, the romance was sweet and sexy. 4 stars.

There are so many things to like about Unexpectedly His by new to me author Maggie Kelley. To begin with, this story is sexy, charming and fun, with each chapter opening with a quote from either the great Marilyn Monroe, or mantelligence.com, a hip website for men. Secondly, the two main characters, computer and numbers geek Marianne McBride, and Nick Wright, an investment attorney, are the perfect couple, both statistically and lovingly. Lastly, fans of the "engagement of convenience" romance trope will enjoy Ms. Kelley's refreshing interpretation. Nick has worked hard his entire life to get to where he is today, an extremely successful attorney for a prominent investment firm. Now all he needs is a wife or at least a potential wife in order to seal the deal, and assure the powers that be that his slightly wild ways are a part of his past. So he asks his sister, a professional matchmaker, to find him a fake fiance. Marianne, Nick's total opposite in almost every way, agrees to a temporary, six-week engagement. Just enough time for Nick to make partner and Marianne to be escorted to a very important family event in the Hamptons. A winning arrangement for them both. This is a fun read with some twists and turns that will keep you entertained from beginning to end. Ms. Kelley does an excellent job developing the characters and truly giving the reader a sense of who they are. I especially liked Marianne, with her cardigans, classy glasses and need to use algorithms as a guide to love and success. Nick is swoon-worthy and I loved the sexual chemistry he and Marianne had together. Overall, a solid read. Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

I could not put this book down. It’s a fun, lighthearted story with a lot of heart. Marianne McBride, the blushing, bespeckled, geeky number-cruncher in Jane Wright’s Smart Cupid business (Kelley’s first book), is working to break out of her own shell and get over the fact that her ex called her unadventurous and boring in bed. She needs a date to show up her ex at her father’s get-out-of-jail party. Jane’s commitmentphobe brother Nick needs a fake fiancé ASAP so he can fast track the partner option at his law firm. So when he asks his matchmaking sister, Marianne is the logical choice… This book is sexy, charming, and fun. I laughed out loud at the great banter between these two seeming opposites. These two have fabulous chemistry and the love scenes are h-o-t. It was fun to see Nick and Marianne discover that each is not what they seem and to watch them fall head over heels for each other. Maggie Kelley is hilarious and had me laughing and crying all the way. A must read!
