Sheryl Felecia Means is an undeniable talent and her book Unfinished Projects is proof of this. A tale of unrequited love, family breakdown and broken relationships; with a winding plot that spans all across the United States. At its core a contemporary love story that deals with some of the hurdles that plague a 21st century couple. Focused through the lives of the three Woods sisters a set of siblings each with their own type of remarkable strength. The inseparable nature of family is the true theme of this heartwarming novel and the author spins the tale in such a way that the reader will have no choice but to continue to turn the pages, one after another. Filled with characters both charming and detestable but nonetheless relateable and will make you both laugh and cry.
I normally don't read books like this, but it kept my attention the entire way through. So much so that I refused to eat at times. Great book.
