Starts off good but ends suddenly and the rest if the series isn't availible at b&n. If the rest of the series was available it wld b worth reading

This is not your stereotypical vampire story. The author takes a fresh approach to the popular albeit somewhat overused genre, and the result is a phenomenal story filled with suspense, romance and surprises. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book in what promises to be an exciting new series.

Lots of interwoven plots to set up the series. It is well written and has plenty of action. I am disappointed with the cliffhanger ending as I prefer stand alone stories.

228 pages of greatness it startes off a little fast pace but the it starts going slower. Cant wait for the second book definatly going to get it for sure.

I’m so impressed by this author! What a fresh writing style. “Unfortunate Souls (Book 1)” by Jade M. Phillips, starts with a breathless description of death that is both riveting and disturbing. “Do you know what dying feels like? I do. And believe me, it is not something I would recommend.” And she goes on to describe the coldness of it that actually made me reach for a sweatshirt. It unfolds into an incredible paranormal story. The author writes in such a way that everything seems real, everything as if you were there . . . really amazing. Can’t wait to read more. Highest recommendation. Five stars.
