Darien let his guard down once, and Alysanne stole the demon stone out from under his nose. Now he has to get it back, no matter what the cost. It doesn't matter that the feisty redhead calms the demonic voice in his head, or that her body tempts him beyond reason. Only the stone will ensure his survival. As he tries to seduce it away from her, a connection starts to form between them. Now he must decide whether to save his sanity, or his heart.
The more Darien showers her with kisses, the more Alysanne's heart softens to his cause. She knows she won't be able to resist his charm for much longer. Despite the temptation, she knows she must keep the stone safe, because if the demon in his mind claims it, an unholy force would destroy everything she had ever loved-including him.

I received a courtesy copy of this book for an honest review. If you like to read books that are action packed, have adventure, magic, good and evil, erotic fantasy, and a sexy hero, Unholy Pursuits is the book for you.
Reviewed by Crystal Book provided by the publisher for review Review originally posted at Romancing the Book Unholy Pursuits is a book about good versus evil. Arianne has a lot on her shoulders. She is the sister to the Queen of the Iatros people. She also is the royal guard. This princess isn’t just going to sit around and do nothing when it comes to helping save her people from the deamhans. Her job is to watch the portal of hell and keep anything from going in or coming out. Darien is a cocky FBI agent. He never thinks before he does anything. Somehow everything always works out. He has a new assignment and that is to take the stone that Bathin the leader of the deamhans has and destroy it. He needs to go through the portal of hell to do it. What he doesn’t know is that he has Iatros that are undercover on his team. Arianne is at the portal trying to keep them from going through the portal and needless to say that Darien has his way and goes through. Never knowing that he is going into a trap. No one will be the same after that. Darien changes and it’s not for the good. I would do the same thing if I had to be in hell for six months being tortured. I would have something dark inside of me taking over. So when Arianne sees Darien again and takes the sword with the stone in it he follows her to get it back. That is when the good versus evil starts. Can Arianne save Darien with her light and fight his darkness? Or will light and darkness become one with each other to balance out the other? This book turns pretty dark and there is a lot of pain that turns into passion. So if you’re not into some hard BDSM then stay away from this book. This is not for readers that just want some vanilla in their books. Yet the author uses such passion when she writes the book. You can feel the struggle that Darien has with his evil side. Arianne is a tough woman but has such passion inside herself. Both of them need to destroy the same thing for the same reasons. I went through the book feeling for Arianne because she just doesn’t fit in with her people. She knows that there is something missing and doesn’t realize what it is until she meets Darien. The way the book ends leaves you wanting more answers. So hopefully there will be another book and some of the things that are missing in this book will be in the next one.
