United in Hate analyzes the Left's contemporary romance with militant Islam as a continuation of the Left's love affair with communist totalitarianism in the twentieth century. Just as the Left was drawn to the communist killing machines of Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot and Castro, so too it is now attracted to radical Islam. Both the radical Left and radical Islam possess a profound hatred for Western culture, for a capitalist economic structure that recognizes individual achievement and for the Judeo-Christian heritage of the United States. Both seek to establish a new world order: leftists in the form of a classless communist society and Islamists in the form of a caliphate ruled by Sharia law. To achieve these goals, both are willing to wipe the slate clean by means of limitless carnage, with the ultimate goal of erecting their utopia upon the ruins of the system they have destroyed.

To say that United in Hate exposes a love affair that leftist have with tyrants, would be inaccurate; their worship is anything but hidden. What Mr. Glazov does is connect the dots between the "useful idiots" as Lenin said and todays toadys. Let's be clear, this isn't about your everday democrat or even liberal, this is about extremist, who to a large extent have hijacked the podium. There is no innuendo here: the subjects of the book are quoted and footnoted. Mr. Glazovs writing is clear and concise, although afterwards you will shake your head at the hubris of a few of our fellow citizens.

This groundbreaking book centers on the psychology of the American Left and how many of them are secretly in love with the mass murderers of the twentieth century. American Leftists such as Susan Sontag and Jane Fonda (Bernie Sanders also gets a mention) hate on America, while at the same time nurture a romance with tyrannical regimes. These regimes include but are not limited to the following: Stalin's Russia, Mao's China, Castro's Cuba, and the throwback countries in the Middle East where radical Islam rules the day. Glazov dubs these American Leftists "fellow travelers" and "true believers"-that is, fanatical left-wing Americans who feel alienated from their own country and who harbor a secret desire for absolute power and destruction, which they act out by living vicariously through the great dictators and mass murderers of the twentieth century. In the twenty-first century, the American Left is at it again. Who's the romantic partner this time? You got it-radical Islam. The irony is that while the American Left supports gay rights and full women's rights, radical Islam doesn't. It's a very strange alliance. Normally, the Leftists and Islamists would be at each other's throats, but since they have a common enemy in Judeo-Christian civilization--that is, since they're united in hate against Judeo-Christian civilization--the two groups will deal with each other...for now. But if the radical Muslims were to ever get the upper hand and gain political and military power, they'll more than likely persecute and/or kill the Leftists, who, at the end of the day, are useful idiots to the radical Muslims in their quest for world domination.

Why do the intellectual “true believers” of the Left consistently align themselves with mass-murdering ideologues? Why do they hate the West (especially America), home to all the values they supposedly hold most dear, while glorifying and deifying mass murdering tyrants? In this comprehensive history of the regressive Left’s fascination with tyranny and bloodshed, Glasov diagnoses this deadly phenomenon for us. He lays open and expertly dissects the far Left’s mindset with incredible precision and insight. Every page is quote worthy. Just one example from page 64/65, hardcover: “[Author] Mary McCarthy’s dysfunctional confessions reflect the believer’s universe of contradiction and self-hatred. In the United States believers opposed conformity, but when they were [visiting Communist] North Vietnam, they were suddenly embarrassed to have any individual habits or belongings not shared by the collective. Believers discover paradise in the most basic items--hot water, toilet paper--which were supposedly nonexistent in [anti-Communist] South Vietnam, and yet they hated America, where these items all existed in much greater quantity and higher quality.” Filled with example after example of the twisted and sick thought processes of the far Left mindset, Glasov makes a solid case for his theories of what ultimately motivates them. I personally concluded that Leftism truly is a mental illness. But, that’s just me. Read this book. You won’t be disappointed.
