It took a while for me to finish Unlawful Justice because the emotion it sent into my heart overwhelmed me. It's a beautiful story.

Wow!!! What an amazing book. Liv and Grayson are such a strong couple. I cried when I read what happened to Liv. Must read!!!

The characters and storyline were OK. I had a little trouble with Grayson's dropping the f-bomb all the time. I'm not a prude by any means but I felt it was a little overkill as it wasn't just during the sex scenes when he was "talking dirty" but every other page sometimes even in his thoughts.

I have not read a book by K. Langston before but for the most part I did enjoy this book. I have read all of KC’s books and have really enjoyed most of hers. Unlawful Justice does have some content that might not be suitable for some people. But as for me there was a certain scene that I did not really like. But for the book I think it’s that particular scene sets the book up. I did like the characters. But I didn’t love them but I also didn’t hate them either. Something was just missing for me to love the characters. I’m not really going to go into the details about what the book is about because that would pretty much give it all away. I think it’s better to go in blind. Overall, I did like the book and the characters. I just didn’t love it or the characters. But as I said I also didn’t hate it either. If these two authors were to write another book together I would read it. I think that this book does go a good job about letting people know about the real life issue we face today. I like that about this book. Everything is so real. And the authors, to me, were spot on about everything.

The town of Harmony Falls, Texas has recently been riddled with crime. The once peaceful town is now in full blown chaos as things have escalated into deaths and disgusting acts of vengeance. Hate fill the streets and homes of this small town, wreaking havoc with no end in sight. Despite it all, is it possible for two souls at the center of it to find love? Just maybe peace, love and truth will prevail... So this is one of those books that I needed to take a day (or five) off after reading it before I could sit down and attempt to write a review. Even now, almost a week later, I'm not sure my thoughts will be very coherent or even come close to doing this novel justice, but I'll try. These two authors have come together to write a truly powerful story that not only engages your heart but your mind as well. (And, ahem, other body parts). It makes you think about the world around us, the hate that sadly still consumes the world, and what the heck are we going to do about it? As much as I wish it wasn't so, racism and corruption are very much a part of our society. Hate is an ugly, multifaceted stone with so many sides at war with each other. It's not just black vs. white here in Harmony Falls, but also good cops vs. bad cops; right vs. wrong and so on... and I was truly impressed how these authors managed to equally and honestly show all sides. Now despite the heart wrenching events that take place in the story, and brace yourselves, some of them are hard to read, there is also a beautiful opportunity for love. The fact that Grayson and Olivia could find love amidst all the pain and chaos makes it that much sweeter for me. Olivia can't un-live what happened to her and Grayson can't ever un-see it, but together they can find the truth and in time heal and move on. I loved Grayson and his protectiveness and that he could turn on the dirty talk when the time called for it. This was the prefect balance of serious and sexy and a huge winner for these two authors. While I have devoured everything else that K. Langston has written, this is my first time reading anything by K.C. Lynn and I can assure you I will be seeking out some of her stuff in the near future. Well done ladies!
