I was a little skeptical about this book at first, not only is the title a little trendy but the content is several years old. The authors themselves liken an 'Internet year' to a dog year or the equivalent of seven years in the real world. So, to read a book that is several 'Internet years' old I expected to see tons of irrelevant information. However, I was happily proven wrong. The main concepts and ideas that the authors put forth I feel are still applicable. Also, the preface in the paperback edition acknowledges these shortcomings and points to a killer-apps web site for their latest. This book is well organized, it has three main parts and ten concise chapters. It starts by defining the issues and explaining the new digital realities, then it shows how to design killer apps (The Twelve Principle of Killer App Design) and finally how to implement those killer apps. I like the way they use detailed real world examples (this is where some of the information is dated) to make their point. This book is great for anyone who wants to learn more about and thrive in the new digital economy. I picked this book out of a list of about thirty for my MBA E-Commerce class and I'm glad I did because it gave me an excellent base of knowledge from which to work. Killer App is definitely worth the time and effort to read.
