I loved the characters in Unlikely Praise and how their emotions were so visible every step of the way. Candi and Shade are such an unlikely pairing, an ex-rocker and a worship and praise leader? Ms. Rossi made it all seem so natural, though. She also brought it home that we're all just people no matter what station in life we've attained or chosen - fame, fortune...or misfortune. When it comes to Christians, God is the great leveler, and this story is the perfect example of that. I love the way Ms. Rossi makes her characters so true to life - so real. From Candi's battle with pride and her distrust of Shade, she could be any one of us who think we deserve a station in the Lord's house - when in fact we deserve nothing. And Shade's battle with the fact that God can use him, regardless of who he was before he got saved is nothing less than perfect. God can use anyone with the right heart. This story is wonderful! Great job!

Ms. Rossi is one of my all time favorite Inspirational authors! Her characters are humorous, short-sighted, flawed... In other words, just like you and me. In UNLIKELY PRAISE, the uptight young worship leader is floored to learn her pastor has just added an alcoholic ex-rock star to the team--and expects her to share leadership duties with him. Not likely!!! She knows God has a sense of humor, but there's not a thing funny about this situation. You'll love each step of their journey, and I have it on good authority, there will be more to follow this one.

I wasn't sure I'd like Candi at first. She seemed really judgemental, but it was all a means to hide her vulnerability. The more I read, the more I grew to like her. And Shade. They both overcome a lot. Great story!

The characters were a little too transparent and theemotion of themain female character was exaggerated beyond belief. There's concern and there's hysteria. The character often bordered on hysteria.
