About the Author

Shannon Richard grew up in the Florida Panhandle as the baby sister of two overly protective but loving brothers. She was raised by a more than somewhat eccentric mother, a self-proclaimed vocabularist who showed her how to get lost in a book and a father who passed on his love for coffee and really loud music. She graduated from Florida State University with a BA in English Literature and still lives in Tallahassee where she battles everyday life with writing, reading, and a rant every once in a while. Okay, so the rants might happen on a regular basis. She's still waiting for her Southern, scruffy, Mr. Darcy, and in the meantime writes love stories to indulge her overactive imagination. Oh, and she's a pretty big fan of the whimsy.

4.5 Stars! I discovered this series by chance and actually just started the first book when the chance to review this came up. Yeah, I'm one of those people that prefer to read in order but I'm not feeling bad about it and I've got to say that I have found a new favorite author! Ms. Richard really knows how to write sweet, steamy, swoon-y romance that will have your heart melting. Every scene is so perfect and flows like a well-choreographed dance. Harper Laurence is tired of the pitying glances and the gossip since her ex-fiancé called off their wedding and booked it out of their small town and spontaneously decides to visit her aunt in Nashville on the weekend that should have been her wedding weekend but in a weird (or predetermined, depending on your perspective) twist of fate she ends up spending the weekend with up-and-coming country music star, Liam James. Only she does not recognize him and the strength of her feelings for him after two days frightens her enough to send her running back home. Well, what happens in Nashville does not stay in Nashville because six weeks later, Harper finds herself with a bun in the oven and now has to face the man she ran away from. One glance was all it took to convince Liam James that he couldn't let the violet-eyed beauty at his favorite bar go without getting to know her and he knew within a few hours that he had found the woman he wanted to spend forever with, but her skipping out on him left him very heartbroken, especially because she was the muse for his breakout song and the success of the song kept the heartbreak fresh. Liam gets a chance with his violet-eyed beauty again when they unexpectedly meet at a party in his brother's honor and discover that they have shared connections, in more ways than one. In spite of how hurt he was at her running away, Liam is determined not to lose this second chance with Harper and is willing to go to great lengths to get what he wants, but his exploding career, the paparazzi, groupies and an actress with an agenda of her own are enough to put pressure on a brand-new relationship and the addition of pregnancy hormones make it even harder on Harper. She has to decide if Liam is worth fighting for or if she will give in to her desire to run. I love, love, love these characters! They are easy to relate to, the struggles they face are those anyone can relate to and all of these make a fairy-tale story very real. Liam such a dreamy guy, gorgeous, sweet, romantic and enough to make the heart swoon. But what I love the most about him is his tenacity and determination to convince Harper that she belongs with him until the end of time. Harper is an amazing and strong character. On the heels of being jilted and dealing with the resulting self-doubt and hurt, she finds herself pregnant and dealing with drama from Liam's career while battling pregnancy hormones and anyone who's been there can tell you: that ain't no joke! UNSUNG is a very sweet and sexy story about love at first sight and not giving up on your heart's desire. If you are not a fan of love at first sight, Harper and Liam's story will definitely make you a convert. I'm so excited about this series and will definitely be catching up on the previous books! If they are anything like UNSUNG, then I definitely recommend this series to anyone who loves romance and a sweet and sexy fairy-tale. Disclaimer: I received this book for free from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not

It has often been said that love has the uncanny ability to sneak up on you when you least expect it, and no one knows that to be truer than Liam James. As soon as he sets his sights on the black haired beauty seated at the bar, he is instantly pulled into her world, and left with an unshakable feeling that his life is about to be changed forever. As soon as he steps up to the bar, he sees the most alluring set of violet eyes, staring back at him, his instincts kick in and he has the deepest desire to touch her, full well knowing that one touch will never be enough. After a few drinks, and some small talk he finds himself convincing her to come home with him, knowing it could only be one night, but deep inside really hoping for more. He soon learns though that she isn't looking for long term, and she drives the point home when she bolts after two blissful days together, and takes his heart along with her.... Harper Laurence is hoping her extended stay in Nashville will help her get over being dumped at the altar, she never expected to be spending the weekend she was supposed to say "I do" alone. After being stood up by her aunt, she decides to make the most of her night out on the town and pulls up a seat at the bar for a few drinks to try and drown her misery, never expecting to be sharing those drinks with a handsome stranger who has the promise of forever in his eyes. She doesn't do one night stands, but as soon as this handsome stranger pulls up a seat next to her she begins to question that pesky little rule. Something about him draws her in and has her thinking one night with him could be exactly what she needs in her life right now. But when one night turns into two she immediately gets the urge to run, the last man to get that close to her heart shattered it into a million pieces and she has no intention of letting history repeat itself... but the minute she bolts she is riddled with regret and left thinking she may have just let her future slip right through her fingers. I have been dying to return to Mirabelle, Florida for some time now, mainly because I know every visit promises to be one amazing literary escape from reality, and that I am about to be treated to a story that is sure to satisfy every one on my literary cravings! Barely three sentences into the story, and everything in my world started to shift, and I felt myself being pulled into Harper and Liam's world, they had me hanging onto every spoken word, and dying for more! The chemistry between these two burned brightly from start to finish, and every encounter they had was filled with so much passion and intensity that I frequently found myself breathless and in dire need of a fan!! After reading Undone, the first installment in this series, I knew I had stumbled onto to something REALLY good, and since then, with each new addition I've read, Ms. Richards has managed to not only exceed my expectations, but also reaffirm my belief that this series is nothing short of AMAZING!! If you have not read this series yet, I must tell you first off that you are totally missing out on some exceptional reading, but that you are also missing out on the opportunity to meet some of the greatest men to ever grace the pages of a book!!
