A fun, quick story about the aftermath of a gift mixup. Was it really just a simple mixup of gifts? Or, was it fate intervening? What are the odds? Great descriptions and very likable characters. A heart-warming story about finding the one.

Gift giving gone horribly wrong. Dean Brady and Brady Deen... Easy mistake, right? But someone's in for a very interesting Christmas! Written in vivid detail, with great characters. Brady is a lovable nice guy while Dean is the jerk I loved to hate. Hana is sweet and shy, exactly the type that belongs with Brady in the perfect world, but there will be no spoilers in this review, so you'll have to read the book to find out what happens... A few plot twists that I didn't see coming left me wondering how this story was going to end, and I kept wondering until the very last page.  This book was a fun read, and I will be recommending it to friends.

This is a sweet contemporary romance that puts a unique twist on fate. It all starts when two guys the same gift but there is a mix up and that mix up changes everything for the two couples this books start off with. Brady is my favorite character in this book and when you read it you will see why. This is a great book to read on a weekend night when you want to get lost in the world of happy ever afters.

For me this was a fun, romantic, heartwarming story of finding the one you are meant to be with. The story starts with a Christmas time  mix-up involving identical lockets that changes the lives of four people. Brady Deen buys a locket for his girlfriend with no intention of proposing. Dean Brady buys a locket with the intention of proposing.  Brady's girlfriend bolts after the proposal and even though he wasn't proposing it breaks his heart that she doesn't want to marry him. After Christmas because of the terrible way Dean treats Hana she decides to leave him. He is relieved. Brady and Hana briefly meet New Year's Eve in the frozen section of the grocery store. They both feel something but part as strangers. Six months later they have another chance meeting and can't deny the feeling between them. This was a really sweet, enjoyable romance and I would recommend it to anyone just looking for a light, fun read.

Reviewed by Janelle Fila for Readers' Favorite Untangle My Heart by Melissa A. Smith is a contemporary romance about what happens when a mix-up occurs. The story begins with some much needed backstory: two men, Brady and Dean, order identical Christmas lockets for their girlfriends, Heather and Hana, with two completely unique messages inscribed inside. But the store makes a mistake and delivers the opposite locket to each romantic pair. The story looks at what happens after this mix-up and how each pair reacts to the wrong message on their gift. Both relationships are put to the test as questions are asked, feelings are hurt, and answers are found. Ultimately, the pairs decide to break up and move on in their respective lives, discovering that their bonds maybe were never as strong as they originally believed. But that doesn't mean that hope is lost. There still might be some love hiding around the corner for two of the characters. This was a really sweet story that took an interesting premise and asked a lot of questions. What would happen if you got the wrong message? Would you be upset? Would you trust your boyfriend? Is it worth breaking up over? This story follows these fictional characters on that journey, but at the same time it didn't feel like a story because the characters were so well written and authentic. I think readers will really fall in love with these characters as they go on this journey full of questions and misunderstandings.

This book starts out a little confusing but that adds to story which is about two guys with similar names. They order the same necklace and the sales clerk mixes them up. Causing a downfall of the two guys relationships. This story draws you in wanting to untangle the situation. I couldn't put the book down. Hey the sales clerk couldn't be blame I mean their names where very similar but then again maybe it was fate stepping. A great book by a great author.

3.75 Stars - Although I found this book a bit confusing in the beginning, as the story "Untangled", I really enjoyed the ride that Melissa A. Smith took me on. I enjoyed the “realness” of the characters and how the imperfections of the relationships in the book are described – these characters and their situations were very realistic to me. I just loved watching Hana grow as a character, finding her own two feet and realizing that she deserved more. Brady was just…everything you would want to find in a man, even with some of his imperfections. And that Dean – if I could have reached into my Kindle and slapped that man aside the head…he’d have a permanent imprint of my hand on his face! I think the reason I found the book a bit confusing in the beginning had to do with all the characters and trying to keep them straight. You are just kind of thrown into the two relationships without a lot of backstory, so it took a bit to get everything sorted out in my mind as to who was who. As I said, once I got it all sorted, I really enjoyed the story and watching two people find each other and realize that there is a whole lot more to love then they realized. I was given a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.
