This sequel to Amy's After the End took off exactly where the first book ended and it was fast paced until the last page. I enjoyed getting to know the main male character, Miles, more in depth & loved watching his feelings with Juneau develop into something much more than annoyance! Amy also really explained the "magic" in the book with a lot of science & spiritual explanations & really made Juneau's gift even more fascinating & unique for me. Overall, another awesome book by Amy Plum & I cannot wait to read more of her work!

This book takes off right where the last one ended. There is a lot of character change in this book. I can't just say character growth, although there was quite a bit of that too, but the characters themselves changed in many ways. I felt like there was a lot of the same in this book that we already had in the last book. It was still entertaining, but I was hoping for more.
