(review written by me, ten years ago)I know that AIDS is a very big issue, but I had no idea people could be so *stupid* about it. In this novel, a wonderful girl gets discriminated against simply because she has AIDS. Everyone turns against her, calls her names, no one even wants to be near her; They assume that she's some horrible slut, they don't even think before they judge. It's a good book, but it was kind of an eye-opener to me, in a not-good way.
Until Whatever is a touching story about a girl named Cconnie who has AIDS. Because of this all her friends turn against her and she is left with one person who is Karen. Karen hasn't befriended her in 3 years but now Connie needs friends the most Karen is by her side even though she looses a lot of friends this way. This book is filled with action, drama, and emotion. Readers in the grades 6-8 and know about AIDS and want to learn more on the topic should read this book. I really enjoyed it.
