Loved this one so much. This has an older heroine and younger hero. I think this is the best book I've read with this troupe. You could feel the connection between Kate and David. Though you can tell the age difference in their personalities, but it wasn't conceding to the other character. It just worked so well. It was awesome to watch the journey of Kate after her divorce finding herself again. David is one hunky hockey player whose life is a player with the ladies. Then that changes when he meets Kate. Can these two make it work with the whole age difference and Kate's family issues? I liked the little secondary stories going on in the book as well. I highly recommend this book.

Loved! Loved! Loved! This is an exquisitely told story of a woman dealing with all the issues faced when trying to rebuild a life. Freshly divorced and facing forty, being alone isn't exactly appealing. When a chance encounter with a much younger man turns into so much more Kate Adam's world is rocked off it's axis. Throw in a controlling abusive ex and a rocky at best relationship with her teenage daughter and it may be more than Kate can handle. I loved the characters in this book and with all that was going on, never once did I feel lost. Great writing kept everything together and moving forward. I highly recommend this one for everyone.

I absolutely loved this book. It is a book that you will not be able to put down. Newly divorced, turning forty, Kate is ready to venture out into life again. She meets a younger, but very mature David at a bar. They have a one night stand, but they both want more. This book is just not just another romance, but so much deeper. Kate has a daughter, who is seventeen and is going through many life choices of her own. Her ex husband, whom I dislike (to put it mildly) has emotionally abused Kate through their marriage and still trying to ruin her life. Kate looks at this romance on how it will affect everyone in her life. Jeannie Moon has outdone herself in this book, the pages just kept turning until the end. I sure didn't want it to end. This has been the best book that I have read this year. I highly recommend this book.

Jeannie Moon’s Until You is a heartwarming and entertaining sports romance. Newly divorced novelist, Kate Adams is not looking for a relationship. However, when thirty-year-old hockey star David Burke picks her up at a bar on her fortieth birthday who is she to turn him down for a night of much-needed fun. Fate has other plans, and David is not going to give up on her so easily. This contemporary sports romance primarily takes place in Pennsylvania and is suitable for adults. I like Kate. She was in an abusive marriage but persevered as a renowned writer. I felt bad for her situation involving her daughter. David is a great guy. He is thoughtful and protective. I like how the two hit it off and opened up to one another. They have a lot in common. I also appreciated that they liked each other because of their personalities and not who they are. Kate’s ex-husband, Richard Nicholls, and his fiancé Marie are a piece of work. Both are selfish and manipulative. They make interesting adversaries. I plot was credible. I love that Kate and David met in California, but both lived in Pennsylvania. I thought it was great that he was a fan of her books. They overcome multiple hurtles. The conflict between her ex and daughter was gripping. This is the first book I have read by Jeannie Moon. I really enjoyed it and would read another book by her. I would love to see a sequel to this book after Laura turns eighteen where she bumps into Jack again. Complimentary copy provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

"Until You" by Jeannie Moon is the story of Kate Adams and David Burke. Kate is a newly divorced school teacher and author. David is a pro hockey star for the Flyers and can have any girl he wants. It's Kate's fortieth birthday and she is alone at a California hotel on the deck wondering how her life turned out like it did. David approaches her and ask her to go out to dinner with him. Kate usually doesn't take any chances, but she accepts his invitation. They got along really well, have a night of passion, and find out that both live in Philly. Will they see each other again? How will David react when he finds out that she is ten years older than him? This story is amazing! You have a cougar romance, lots of twists and turns that were unexpected, family dynamics, plus dealing with the press since Kate is a well known published author and David a star on the Flyers pro hockey team. How will Kate feel when she finds out why David asked her out in the first place? Will they be able to find their happily ever after? I received a copy of this book from Tule Publishing for an honest review. FYI, contains mature content.

Until You is by Jeannie Moon. I won this book in a prize package in a give a way. It is Kate Nicholls fortieth birthday and she is sitting alone at a bar at a hotel on the beach in California drinking wine, and crying. She’s not crying because she is forty, although that is part of it. Her divorce from her now ex-husband, Richard, has just become final. Richard left her ten months ago for his mistress. Even though she has had plenty of time to mourn the loss of her marriage, having these final papers in her hand brought everything to the surface again. Just as she drained the last drop of the wine from the bottle, one of the most beautiful men she has ever seen approaches her, wanting to talk. Kate has never done anything spontaneous like this. But it is her birthday, and he is gorgeous. So when he asks her to dinner, she accepts. “This was too good. She was depressed and alone on her fortieth birthday, a landmark in any woman’s life, and out of nowhere came a gorgeous man to whisk her away for dinner on the beach.” David Burke is twenty nine and is on the road with his hockey team. He is team captain and plays forward for the Flyers. He accepted a bet to try to get the beautiful woman sitting alone in the bar to go to bed with him. David isn’t going to turn down a chance to make some easy money. But when he approached Kate and saw she had been crying, everything changed. He wanted to make her smile and take away what ever made her cry. The minute he sat down in the chair across from Kate Nicholls, his life was forever altered. “What had started out as a bet, and was supposed to be a simple one-night stand, had become much more. This woman could matter to him.” David, as are most hockey players, was hounded by paparazzi. Beautiful women threw themselves at him and he took advantage of it, finding his picture in the paper countless times with different women on his arm. After he met Kate, though, he lost interest in anyone but her. He saw a glimpse of something he yearned for, a woman he could easily spend the rest of his life loving. Kate is an English teacher at a prestigious private school. But that is only part time. Kate is a romance novelist, a famous author that has had four books on the best seller list. One of her books has been optioned for a movie deal. But, the most important thing in Kate’s life is her seventeen year old daughter, Laura. “Talking with him was like being with an old friend; making love with him was like finding her other half.” Kate’s ex-husband, Richard, is about the lowest form of scum I have ever read about. This man is abusive, manipulative, and I think just plain crazy. Especially towards the end, it seemed to me this man was a few marbles short of a full jar. During their entire marriage, Richard controlled everything to do with their lives. He drove a wedge so deep between Kate and her daughter that Kate didn’t know how they could ever come back from it. Laura believed everything her father told her about her mother. She was used as a pawn in a sadistic man’s quest for money and power. Is there any way Kate wouldn’t have trust issues after the type of man her ex was? She wants to hope that David is different. When he finds out her age, though, he got scared. That is only the first of many mistakes that he made that had Kate pushing him away. She couldn’t let herself be hurt again. “The years between them didn’t matter, their pasts didn’t matter"

I was lucky to get an advance copy of this book. Kate Nicholls’ picture perfect world as a wife, mother, well known author and teacher has come to a crashing end very unexpectedly. After years of abuse her husband has left her for another woman, their daughter hates her and on her 40th birthday she slept with a 29 year old. Not just any 29 year old, a well known hockey player that her 17 year old daughter has a serious crush on. David Burke was a player both on an off the ice, not wanting to commit to a serious relationship just yet. So when his NHL team had an away game in California, while at their hotel, his teammates issued him a challenge…get the woman at the table in bed by the end of the night. He accepts and makes his move, but what he doesn’t expect was the move he make to be one that he will never forget. You know the magically connection you hear or read about, that some couples have? Well there is definitely one between Kate and David. But can that magic actually overcome all the odds and every roadblock placed before them as they try and figure out exactly what they want. This book is incredible, it is beyond incredible, it is an original, realistic, breath taking, heart stopping, don’t want to put it down until I get to the last page which means I will throw food at the kids/spouse and lock my door just so I can get to the end book! It has the twists and turns, ups and downs, hate and romance that we can only dream about happening in our lives. This is by far the best book I have read in a very long time and will definitely be recommending it to everyone I know or don’t know. Jeannie Moon hit this one not just out of the park but out of the country! Now if only the story was really finished......

After her divorce, Kate is a little insecure but thanks to David she finds herself again. Once she discovers who she is at her core, she’s surprisingly settled for her past – strong and confident. But she has to let that past go and remember how great she really is. And that she can hold the interest of a younger, super-hot pro-athlete. David grows up a lot too. He starts to realize the man that he didn’t even know he wanted to be. He just has to convince Kate that he’s ready to commit and that she’s the one for him. David and Kate face a lot of troubles, because of their fears and hang-ups, but it leads to a really great HEA. The characters are fantastic, both the main and secondary, and Moon does a wonderful job of drawing you into their world. And of making you interested in what happens next - I really hope we get Jack’s story. I felt for him almost as much as the main characters. He’s young but a good guy underneath and he got a good kick in the teeth so I have my fingers crossed that we can see him get his own HEA. With realistic issues and an emotional storyline, Until You is definitely one to add to your TBR pile. (Complimentary copy provided in exchange for an honest review)

With her divorce just final Kate Adams is alone on her fortieth birthday. Her abusive husband left her for another woman but he still has control over her teenage daughter. When she's approached by a handsome man in a bar, she decided to take a chance. Where will it lead her? David Burke is quite a bit younger and very sexy. He's attracted to her beauty and gentleness. What will happen when he finds out her age? This story is an emotional journey of discovery. Kate is insecure and afraid. She has been beaten down for so long. My heart hurt for her. I wanted her to take a chance on David who is tender and caring. She deserves to be loved. I felt the desire and the attraction whenever they interacted. I loved that the story featured a mature woman falling in love with a younger man. David may have been upset when he first learned Kate's true age, but he knew that she could fill his heart and complete him. The emotional drama was compelling. I was with Kate every step of the way. I was frustrated that her daughter, Laura, was so easily manipulated by her father. I wanted to shake her. When Laura started dating an older man, I was hooked. Jeannie Moon did a wonderful job with Until You. The interwoven storylines were well done and the romance was intensely emotional. When I finished, I felt completely drained. This book is a keeper.

Until You by Jeanne Moon is a book that hooked me into the story from the start. Kate Adams is a 40 year old recently divorced woman who is an author and who also has a 17 year old daughter. With Kate's ex putting her down in the past leading to insecurities, a divorce and with having troubles with her daughter she has enough on her plate. Enter 30 year old David Burke, David is a charming, handsome, endearing hockey star who is 10 years younger than Kate. Upon meeting Kate and David have a spark and David knows that Kate is the one for him, now all he has to do is prove it to Kate. The chemistry between Kate and David is hot! This book touches many real life problems and emotions, the age difference between David and Kate, insecurities from a failed relationship, a complicated relationship between a mother and daughter, dealing with David's past and popularity and a woman growing confident. A truly wonderful book check it out. One I WILL read again. Looking forward to more of Jeanne Moon's books.

I loved the multi-dimensional, realistic plot of Until You by Jeannie Moon.  I wasn't too sure what to expect when I started this, and am so happy to say that Until You mesmerized me! Katie is a strong heroine who has a lot going on in her life.  I really liked her, how she dealt with things, and who she was.   David might be 10 years younger than her, but once they hit it off that didn't deter him one bit.  He didn't see the numbers, he just saw Katie.  The woman he wanted to know better and be with.  He cares, he stands by her and supports her, and he is persistent enough that I kept hoping eventually Katie would realize he's worth risking her heart again! The connection between Katie and David is one I could feel strongly through out Until You.  They also had great chemistry, but I liked how the chemistry was not the only thing they had going for them.  I think their feelings were realistic and the doubts and bumps in the road believable.  As they work through this and Katie deals with an ex husband and her teenage daughter, the plot really solidified and came together well. I always love a good romance that has a more mature heroine! Numerous facets of life and relationships are explored in Until You, woven in realistically and making things very intriguing! I'd recommend Until You to any romance reader!

Honestly, when I picked up this book, I thought it was going to be another one of those hot hockey player romances, with only a new twist of an older leading lady. Well, yes, there was that too, but oh so much more as well, I don't know where to start. The characters were interesting, deep, and fascinating. David is not only a star of the team, and former player of another field, he has depth, and wisdom, he is caring, protective, and devoted. He has some growing up to do, the mistakes of his past and present are piling up, but he is determined in his love for Laura, and willing to learn, mature, and never give up. Kate is a mother, author, and a teacher. She has finally stepped out of the abusive nightmare of a marriage. Her emotions are raw and wide, but true and profound. To see her flourish and rise from her past, stand up for herself, embrace life and the possibilities it offers to her is a joy. It is not an easy road she has to travel, there's angst, sorrow, and lose, but also so much love, happiness, and wonder, it was a road worth taken. The secondary characters bring more layers into the tale, the ex-husband Richard and his girlfriend Marie are scary with their insane hunger for money and power. Laura, the daughter, and the story with Jack was touching and heart breaking towards the end, somehow left me wishing for another kind of ending with them. The whole story just blew me away, the emotions run high, at times the intensity and angst as high as in YA stories. The events and twists in the plot were interesting, and some unexpected. It is an emotional journey into life, that is so real, fresh, at times rough, but still so worth taking. ~ Four Spoons with a teaspoon at the side

I've read all of Jeannie Moon's other books and have really enjoyed each one (especially The Wedding Secret and This Christmas!!) I distract easily and have a demanding home life with many interruptions, so I hesitated to take on a story of this length and depth. I was prepared for it being more than a simple escapist romance, in the realm of woman's fiction with romantic elements. But boy am a glad I purchased this read. The opening chapters hooked me. I loved the concept of a woman turning forty attracting the attention of a younger ma, a pro-athlete at that, and enjoying an uninhibited weekend away from her responsibilities. Of course I wanted David and Kate's romance to be "more" but once she returned home I realized the many obstacles that stood in their way. I was compelled to keep reading. I was drawn into Kate's complicated life, the difficult ex-husband, teaching career, and her aloof 17-year-old daughter. Parts of this story tore at my soul, having suffered some similar losses as the heroine, and to be honest, I struggled at one point to keep reading, not wanting to dredge up those awful memories again, but something about Kate and her daughter's personal issues kept me turning those pages. I realize now that reading this book was cathartic at some levels. I have Ms. Moon to thank for that. The story surprised me a few times with its twists, taking the characters down a different path than I'd anticipated, and I was impressed by the way in which the author resolved many of the problems in Kate's life. By the end of the story, I was grinning from ear to ear. Kate went through hell and back to earn her true love, and a wonderful relationship with her daughter as well! This story was realistic and hopeful and sexy all rolled into one. I would definitely want to revisit this family when Laura is an adult and finds her love.

It was supposed to be a simple bet: get the pretty lady to spend the night with him and collect the money from his team mates. As a professional hockey player, David Burke never had any trouble picking up women. Why was this one different? Kate Nicholls was in California for a convention. She was also celebrating her 40th birthday. She didn’t expect to meet a man in a bar and end up spending the night with him. That wasn’t who she was. Kate is a popular author and a teacher who lived a conservative life. She is recently divorced and raising her daughter. Meeting David was too good to be true and when Kate finds out he lives close to her, she gets really excited about seeing him again. But she is afraid to have a relationship after her last one turned out so bad. Then, there is the age difference. She never expected someone so much younger than she was to be serious about her. When he finds out, he stops calling her. Kate soon gets news that she definitely was not planning on. She needs to tell David. How will he react? Will this drive them further apart or bring them closer? I loved this book. I loved everything about it, the story and the characters were perfect. It had the happy and sad moments that make it a great book to me.

Satisfying on so many levels! Kate is a successful novelist in California for a conference. She is also celebrating her fortieth birthday, newly divorced and alone. David is a successful hockey player in town on a road trip. He is also a player, and his teammates have bet him he can't get the lovely, but sad, woman into bed by the end of the night. Kate surprises them both by accepting his dinner invitation, and they go on to have a wonderful evening, just being themselves and accepting the other as is. When they end up in bed, it is an experience neither can forget. David also likes Kate so much that he purposely loses the bet. Surprised that they live so close to each other, it is even more surprising that David wants to see Kate again...and then, after another wonderful date, he finds out that he is 11 years older than him with an almost college-aged daughter. Kate expects his reaction and moves on, but David can't help thinking that she is "the one" for him, and he has an uphill battle making Kate realize he is in it for the long term. I love Kate, fighting to rebuild her life and her self-esteem after an abusive marriage, and trying to find a relationship with her daughter, who was also brainwashed by her ex. I also love David, all though he does speak and act without thinking. I love how he admits his mistakes and works hard to make it up to Kate. This was so much more than a romance, and I really loved the interactions and growth that all the characters have. There was so much depth to all the relationships, it was an extremely satisfying read!

I really enjoyed reading this book. For the most part it was a happy story but there were a few cry moments too. This is about the strong people in this story and those who aren't but become strong. This is an amazing story line with hockey players and professors. It's not your usual story. Kate was divorced and she celebrates her 40th birthday when she meets David Burke, a Flyer hockey player. She had a wicked marriage and no longer trusts men. She  has a 17 year old daughter and Richard turned her against her mother. There are a lot of spoilers between the three of them. Kate and David were getting close and then David's past destroys Kate's trust. There are two major spoilers with Kate and Laura, her daughter. Do they stay together? Does Laura shun her mother for her father? Does David give up on Kate? You really must give this book a chance. I hope you enjoy it! . I have this book for an honest review for NetGalley.

Kate is divorced, alone, has no relationship with her daughter, and is turning forty. For years her ex has put her down, and humiliated her and she doesn't even realize it. And now he wants full custody of their 17 yr old daughter. The only joy she has is her writing. As an acclaimed author, she has the adoration of many. Why can't her daughter respect her? David is the face of the Flyers. As a professional hockey player, David has any girl he wants. Then he takes a bet that will change his life forever. He has been thinking about his life and wanting more. A home, and family. At 29, he feels it's time. When they meet it is an instant connection, and one that David can't forget. Even after finding out her age, he still wants to be with her. But she has her own problems and doesn't see how they can make it work. Can David show her what it really means to love and be loved as you should be? Will Kate accept David and all his past, to become the woman she is meant to be with him? Throughout their journey, these two experience blinding lust, extreme joy, and heartshredding sadness. You will be swept away as they fight to overcome all the obstacles in their way to find lasting happiness. Truly enjoyed this great story!!

This was a very emotional story. Kate is a recently divorced mother who is still recovering from the damaged caused by her controlling and abusive ex. David is a hockey player who never wants a serious relationship. I loved Kate, her daughter, and David. David really did seem inexperienced with dealing with a woman who didn't care about the fact that he was rich and famous. The drama involving the ex got me really worked up as well. All in all, it was quite the roller coaster, but very heartwarming. I highly recommend this story.

Until You is a wonderful book. It deals with real life situations that can occur to many women. Kate is a recently divorced woman who was mentally and physically abused by her husband. She feels like she does not deserve to be loved. She meets David, a player for the Flyers Hockey team on her 40th birthday. The attraction is immediate and I believe at this point is when both realize they have a connection. Kate's ex-husband is manipulating their daughter Lisa to be hateful and she tells her father everything that is happening. Situations occur, and the results are wonderful. I do not want to spoil the book for people who want to read this. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.
