Sold. I never imagined I would be grateful to be bought by the Bratva.
One more year and I was set to marry evil. I've heard the gruesome tales of that family before.
I'm awarded with a new beginning when I'm given to the Mafia, for Nikoli to keep.
He's unlike anything I could have dreamed of, especially after the screwed up way I was raised.
The problem? My betrothed isn't willing to give me up.
I've lost what I love; they were stolen from me, tortured and violated.
I feel like I've fought my entire life to fill the void left inside.
My heart is coated in sadness but I'm good at keeping it locked deep.
The Mafia saved me, but now I'm faced with yet another unwanted sacrifice.
I won't let her go. I have to save this one.

I could not wait for this book! I would recommend you start with the first book in the series Secrets and go from there. Nikoli has been one of my favorite alphas in this series, he is sweet and strong and Sabrina is just to women for him! This story is a friends to lovers Mafia tale! I loved the chemistry between Nikoli and Sabrina and it was great to catch up with characters from other books. I am a huge Sapphire Knight fan and this book does not disappoint! This book has page turning suspense and sweet romance.
Need. That's what I discovered when I devoured this book. The ever powerful emotion was conveyed through so many different characteristics. The need for love and acceptance. The malicious need for false entitlement. The undeniable need to bind oneself to another. I'm left speechless after reading each new book Sapphire Knight publishes. But there's a special uniqueness that's portrayed in Unwanted Sacrifices. The drama and heartache, along with the overflowing of excitement displayed throughout the story completely captured me from page one! The connection between Sabrina and Nikoli felt effortless. They both played off each other wonderfully, and the desire they each have for the other was unquestionably romantic. Sparks ignited a passion deep within themselves like I've never read before. The relationships with the characters from previous books only became stronger as the story progressed, as well. But what I really loved about the book, besides the incredible attraction and lust, was how the story was shrouded by immorality and evil. I felt deep compassion and sympathy for what Sabrina and Niko endured. This book reveals that finding love can be hard, agonizing or sometimes unattainable. If you enjoyed the previous Russkaya Mafiya books, then you will absolutely love Unwanted Sacrifices! 5 MUST-READ Stars!
Stars: 5 I love reading a book that makes you feel like you're part of it. US should be read as part of a series, IMO, because there are things that just make more sense when you do (plus who wants to miss out on an awesome series!?) So definitely read at least Secrets and Corrupted first! Nikoli. He's that tough alpha that you just want to hold to your breast and tell him he's a good man because of his past and then have amazing alpha sex with because he's that hot. Sabrina. I just want to love her up. She's so amazingly strong, a full on independent woman but at the same time you just want to take care of her because she's so motherly she makes more time for Nikoli than for herself. I fell in love with both of these characters, and when tragedy struck I was in agony for them. This book is a bit on the darker side (to me that's expected because of the Mafiya genre) but it's such an amazing story and makes you just FEEL. I didn't want to put it down.
