"It's great to get a view of the border and homeland security from someone who actually worked it and keeps politics out of it. Jason does that, and it comes through in every word of this book." -Brian Kilmeade, Host of Fox & Friends and New York Times Best Seller of Andrew Jackson and the Miracle of New Orleans: The Battle That Shaped America's Destiny..From Homeland Security expert, Jason Piccolo, comes the Second Edition of his best-selling book Unwavering. With the border of the United States experiencing an unprecedented surge of human and drug traffic flowing north from Mexico, the media continuously called on Jason to discuss breaking stories and provide expert insight. This second edition provides an updated assessment of the U.S. border through Jason's experience as a Border Patrol Agent and Special Agent as well as his views as a Supervisor of an East Coast office to working as ICE headquarters' staff in Washington, D.C.Jason's Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF): This book is my view from the ground; from my point of view working the southwest border to the interior of the United States to then wading through Washington, D.C. bureaucracy to current input from colleagues with "boots on the ground" knowledge of the Border Crisis. This book also details my background in the U.S. military and in other federal law enforcement agencies. It is a snapshot of my almost twenty years in law enforcement and my years in the U.S. Army, including a tour in Iraq.
