This book will provide the essential pieces of C++ programming information needed by beginning-intermediate programmers to execute the most frequently used tasks and functions. Many books overwhelm readers with details of the language features, while ignoring the reason for those features. Each chapter is a task-oriented module covering a group of related features or tasks full of real-world, practical examples which is lacking in our competitors offerings. Unlike our competitors, we provide a complete condensed package of easily navigable reference tutorial information on C++. Many competitors convert existing C material into a C++ book which is difficult to follow and unnecessary.
- Get up to speed fast on ANSI/ISO standard C++ without having to learn C first. Provide beginners and intermediate users with the ESSENTIAL information
- This book is jam packed with relevant, hands-on examples, rule-of-thumbs, jump-tables and enrichment-pointers that teach the reader C++ concepts and procedures in a fast, compact and concise manner
- Because this book does not focus on any one compiler, the reader may learn to program in C++ using the compiler of his choice, such as Microsoft Visual C++, Borland C++, or Unix
