Long an admirer of Norman Vincent Peale, I have always believed in the power of positive thinking.I have taught this subject to over 3000 students and older adults alike. I am therefore, delighted to review Wycliffe Tyson's book, ' Using Poetry As A Therapy For Positive Living '. The book is a treasure house full of gems of wisdom and advise on how to look on the positive side of any event.Let me quote a few lines from some of his poems. In the poem ' Inner Beauty',Wycliffe advises us 'It's the spirit within you that determines your beauty'.The optimism of ' I will live in paradise forever', expressed in his poem 'If You Say That I Am Ugly', is an inspiration. 'Highways On The Sea' is full of hope and a desire to enter int paradise. As advise for the hard knocks of life that we all encounter, Tyson tells us 'Fear not your challenges, all will be well'.(Life's Journey On.) Wycliffe Tyson rightly claims that his poems contain a powerful message.
