The war between Val Entienne and John Rafferty is finally coming to a head! Lives have been lost, and everyone is tired of the bad blood. Val and her family and friends have come to a decision: in order for them to survive, Rafferty needs to die. The Syndicate doesn't want any part of the war, and Rafferty doesn't seem to want to play by the rules. This is the final chapter in the Valentine saga, and there's no telling who will survive!

This is the grand finale of the Valentine series by Nicole Woolaston. While I was sad to see it come to an end, I'm happy to report, the ending did not disappoint me at all. After years of going up against John Rafferty and the Syndicate, Val Entienne realizes there is only one way out: kill or be killed. She and her friends embark on a daring plan, to rid themselves of Rafferty once and for all. I won't spoil the ending here, but it's a good one, and it does plenty of justice for the characters and the series itself. I've ready the previous four books, and each one is better than the last. This one is my new favorite. The Valentine series is a series you should definitely get into: there's action, drama, a little romance, and plenty of friendship and family themes.
