Valentine's Dates by Rhian Cahill

She's done with the dating scene. He wants a lifetime of Valentine's Dates.

Brent had his chance to be Valentine's date and he blew it. But loving his best friend's little sister from afar isn't working. When she calls him in tears Brent's only choice is to come to her rescue. And now that he's got her safe in his arms he's going to make sure she stays there.

It doesn't matter how much Vee tries to convince herself her feelings for Brent were destroyed years ago. He is still the first person she calls when she needs help. Breaking down in his arms wasn't part of the plan. Neither was kissing him.

Forced to face their past, Brent and Vee must forgive each other – and themselves – if there's any hope for the love still burning between them.

About the Author

Rhian Cahill is the alter ego of a stay-at-home mother of four. With motherly duties rapidly dwindling, Rhian is able to make use of the fertile imagination that kept her sane during those years of slavery. Years living overseas and visiting tropical climates have helped inspire some steamy stories. Multi-published in erotic romance, Rhian, with the help of Mr. Muse, spends her days and nights writing.

When not glued to the keyboard you'll find her, book in hand, avoiding any and all housework as much as possible.

This is the first book by this author that I have read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am going to have to check into her other books. This story ticked a lot of things I like in books. There was a second chance at love, not too much angst, one of the characters falling in love with the best friend of a sibling, and a bit of heat.

A great short read, tension filled and steamy pages. The chemistry and the relationship between the characters considering there past developed really smoothly. This was a very engaging story and a really good second chance story.
