This is such a great book! The valiant little tailor is not a fairy tale often made into a book, but that justs makes Valiant more unique and special. The plot is complex and intriguing and Sarah Mcguire really brings the characters to life! I couldn't put it down, and neither will you!

I was really impressed with this book! It is a unique retelling of a more obscure Grimm's Fairytale, but it's as captivating as the best of them. I highly recommend you pick it up!

This clearly started out as a case of "it's not you, it's me." Because I was able to put this down for a month and not even blink, but I went through a rough reading patch recently. The writing is wonderful and it did remind me of Ella Enchanted and other classic fairy tale books. It starts off slow but really picks up steam, with giants and castle politics and devious dukes and the slowest slow burn partnership turned friendship turned romance. It was so charming and I read the last half in a night. I'd actually love to reread the whole thing someday because I think I'd enjoy it even more. Galen and Saville were such a good match, and Saville was a wonderful heroine all on her own. She reminded me of Ella mixed with Daine from the Tamora Pierce books. A very enjoyable book with some dark moments and lots of fairy tale magic.
