Boyce is a very descriptive author. Everything comes to life in such a major way. It combines well with this fast paced, exciting tale. it starts on a high note and keeps pace throughout the entire novel. Politics and intrigue mix with chemistry and a great deal of misunderstanding for a fantastic outcome. Elsa has quite the unique characteristics for a heroine in a historical romance. It was very original and absolutely unforgettable. I love how the author uses her to purposely flaunt the social conventions of the time. Norman, on the other hand was so precious. He was so unsure of himself yet perfect in almost every way. This novel was exciting, comical and enjoyable. Boyce definitely makes history fun here!
