About the Author

Hallee Bridgeman is a best-selling Christian author who writes action-packed romantic suspense focusing on realistic characters who face real world problems. Her work has been described as everything from refreshing to heart-stopping exciting and edgy.

An Army brat turned Floridian, Hallee finally settled in central Kentucky with her family so that she could enjoy the beautiful changing of the seasons. She enjoys the roller-coaster ride thrills that life with a National Guard husband, a teenaged daughter, and two elementary aged sons delivers.

A prolific writer, when she's not penning novels, you will find her in the kitchen, which she considers the 'heart of the home'. Her passion for cooking spurred her to launch a whole food, real food "Parody" cookbook series. In addition to nutritious, Biblically grounded recipes, readers will find that each cookbook also confronts some controversial aspect of secular pop culture.

Hallee is a member of the Published Author Network (PAN) of the Romance Writers of America (RWA) where she serves as a long time board member in the Faith, Hope, & Love chapter. She is a member of the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) and the American Christian Writers (ACW) as well as being a member of Novelists, Inc. (NINC).

Hallee loves coffee, campy action movies, and regular date nights with her husband. Above all else, she loves God with all of her heart, soul, mind, and strength; has been redeemed by the blood of Christ; and relies on the presence of the Holy Spirit to guide her. She prays her work here on earth is a blessing to you and would love to hear from you. You can reach Hallee at

The story comes full circle... A great conclusion to an intriguing serial. Finally, readers learn more about the mysterious and elusive Valor. It was so interesting to see the Virtues's adventures through Valor's eyes. And one of my favorite things is that not everyone, and everything, are as they seem. A quick and easy read, Valor's Vigil is a great conclusion to, and truly completes, the edge-of-your-seat Virtues And Valor historical serial from Hallee Bridgeman. If you enjoy WWII fiction this exciting serial is a must read! (I received a copy of this e-book from the author through TBCN in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are entirely my own.)

This is the first book I have ever read by Hallee, although have wanted to for a long time, I just hadn't gotten around to it. I definitely love WWII stories so was excited to read this novella. I was worried I might be lost because this is series but I had no trouble grabbing a hold of the characters and what was going on. In this short book we are thrown into some nail-biting situations that had me up late at night reading. I came to care for Valor easily and wanted him to succeed. I wasn't expecting the ending when it occurred. I was reading along and then my mind thought, wait this feels like a wrap up. I was disappointed because I wanted to the story to go on, but I guess that is good thing because I was enjoying it :) I recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed WWII stories with a bit of romance. A copy of this book was given to me through The Book Club Network Inc. in exchange for an honest review.

Deep in the Nazi military, love's vise grip will keep Leo alert Hallee Bridgeman has done it again! Valor has grown up in a spy family. His parents' assistance in the Great War allows for quick infiltration during WWII and Valor is in occupied France deep in the Nazi military. Valor was named for strength and courage and that is exactly how he lives every moment, never suspecting how love's vise grip will keep him alert or that sheer physical grit will be required to maintain his cover after major set backs. I have so enjoyed the Virtues and Valor series. Seeing the storyline from different perspectives and each book adding both depth and plot was a plus for me. Each book could be read independently, but the layers each brings is tantalizing. Enjoy! I received a complimentary book from Hallee Bridgeman and The Book Club Network at bookfun.org in exchange for my honest review.

I was able to read the entire Virtues and Valor Series by Hallee Bridgeman. I was hesitant at first but once I read the first installment, I quickly wanted to read them all. Throughout the series we are introduced to not only some amazing women but some of the men they work alongside. One in general stood out to me. He was a German officer in Hitler's Army. Code name: Valor. I loved the story of how the Virtues and Valor team is brought together. Leopold Schafer's parents started training for their roles in WWI. They raise their son to take his place as well. He must make so many decisions that go against his beliefs while holding onto his position in order to maintain his cover. Each book is a story of fiction but is based on a true hero from WWII. I loved learning about their stories. Hallee Bridgeman has written a series that I look forward to going back and reading over again.

There will never be enough stars for this series or this book. Truly, my favorite WWII series ever. Ms. Bridgeman is a writing genius, there is just no other way to describe her. This is the finale to the other seven books. Each book is a novella and reads quickly. Though the story is fiction, each character is developed from the inspiration of actual heroic men and women from WWII. If you love WWII history, actions of bravery and sacrifice, and stories of spies and romance, you are in for a real treat. I hope to read these books over and over again. They are that good.
