Perdita lives her life at the bottom of the social ladder, but she doesnt really mind because she actually has great company from her best friend and cousin. They all face bullying daily from the resident mean girl Dawn, but they tend to take it in stride. Having had strange dreams of a boy with brown eyes that draw her in for some time now, she is shocked to see a new kid at school with those same eyes. Can it be the same guy as her dreams? Soon Perdy makes friends with Amelia, the new guys younger sister. She finds herself standing up for herself and others. If only she could figure out what the deal is with Nathan? Sometimes she feels like their relationship goes deeper, but other times its as if they dont even know each other. This story does not lack in drama, not only does Perdy have to deal with the jealousies of Dawn, but somehow life really gets turned upside down when her own best friend seems to turn against her. I was quite frustrated with Nathan for most of this book. I understand his motives, but it didn't seem believable enough for some reason. I also felt the ending of this book was a little forced. I understand that there was a climax, but I really didn't feel there was any type of resolution. Overall it was a nice storyline and the writing was well executed. Characters were all well developed as well.

By far I really like Claire Farrell's work, but this one is very luring. Most of the time you want to go into the book and slap some of the characters- trust me that is a good thing. There is so much emotion that goes into it that it gets me worked up and ready. I have to remind myself it is just a book!

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the interaction of the characters which, to me, was the strongest point of this story. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes their YA a little paranormal. I can't wait to read more by this author.

Verity is a great supernatural book about werewolves. The main character made me mad a lot and does some stupid things but other than that and how the werewolves never wanted to fight it was good. The book is like a werewolf version of twlight

I fell in love with this book. It was well writte. Great context. I wish the next to be more descriptive in the way their "love" for each other is described. But maybe thats just me. I love the context and how each character is played. Over all, well written.

I had a hard time finising this book, and i think if it wasn't for my ocd i wouldn't have. It drags on and very dry at times.

SUMMARY:Perdita keeps have dreams about some beautiful eyes. She thinks nothing of it until the possessor of those eyes walks into her classroom. She is instantly drawn to Nathan and she feels like there's a spark between them, but she can't figure it out. At times he seems very nice, flirty, even maybe in love with her, but at other times he seems cold, moody and ignores her. (Sound like any other popular YA paranormal novels?)She can't figure out this boy, but in the meantime she has other issues. She's finally taking a stand for herself against her grandmother and father, who have taken opposite sides of the fence raising her, after her mother ran out on them years ago. Then there's her new friend Amelia, who is also the sister of Perdita's crush. And her old friends Tammie and Joey, who may be getting together and having major issues. Then there's the issue of her name (OK, not really, but I kept thinking of the dog Perdita in 101 Dalmatians).THE GOOD:All of Perdita's relationships were unusual, especially as the book progressed. This is not necessarily a good thing. But nonetheless, each individual relationship seems genuine. Altogether, it's grounds for disbelief and skepticism, but I feel like each relationship on it's own makes sense and is well done. While I wouldn't say the plot was terribly original--many of the elements in the books can be found in other YA paranormal books--it was nonetheless well written and well put together.THE BAD: As mentioned above, Perdy is in several unusual relationships. Her overprotective father, her absent mother, her vicarious grandmother, her vindictive ex-best friend, her absentminded cousin, her indecisive maybe-boyfriend, her tarot-reading new friend... It is odd that one person would have so many strange relationships in her life. But in a paranormal novel? It's definitely grounds for skepticism. The paranormal aspects didn't manifest itself until near the very end, but since I knew it was paranormal, I kept wondering what was up with this odd cast of characters--will this person turn out to be a flesh-eating villain? etc. I still wonder, actually. Of all those relationship above, especially the "human" ones--is one not who he seems?Another quibble is I didn't really feel like the real plot started until the very end of the book. There's a lot of relationship struggles, friendships built and ruined, romanced started, etc., for the first 3/4 of the book. But the real issue--that of another pack's threat--is only hinted at for most of the book. Then when Perdita finds out they're werewolves--and her connection--the plot starts moving.CONCLUSION:Overall, I enjoyed this book. Quick read. Interesting characters. Good conclusion but a bit of a mystery to keep you going. I may read the next books in the series.

This book is about 160ish pgs. Okay, more for YA. ***I didn't understand Tammy's behavior at all, was she only friends with Peri. so she could be with her cousin? Did the other werewolves not know about the curse ? Instead of attacking them, why didn't they try talking ? Seemed silly.
