This is not only the best Skynyrd Album since the classic lineup but it may just be the best Skynyrd ever. Superb song writing and gritty performances by all and new sounds never before heard on a Skynyrd album make this a must have for any Rock 'N' Roll fan. Driving guitars, beautiful melodies and great lyrics about life's lessons, the simple things in life and stories the way only Skynyrd can tell them make this CD simply the best CD I have heard in years!! Many of us thought we would never hear a Skynyrd this good again after the crash. Wrong!! Simply an amazing effort by a bunch of very gifted musicians. 70+ minutes of great song after great song. The songs on this CD were picked from a crop of 60 and narrowed down to 15. It shows. I'd give it six stars if I could. Ronnie would be so very proud.

Skynyrd didnt have to prove anything else in their career, but their greatness keeps movin on and especially does with this album, as they even more firmly establish themselves as the best rock band ever!!!! "That's How I Like It", "The Way" and "Red, White and Blue" come off as their best songs on the album, with "Red, White and Blue," being yet another great anthem for concerts or anywhere. "Dead Man Walking" reminds you of the old Skynyrd band and "Pick 'Em Up" just get ya movin around with its duet with Rickey Medlocke as they are just havin a fun time jamin. Skynyrd, with its rock, also hits upon some more country sounding songs again with "Sweet Mama" and "Rockin' Little Town." They also hit up very good and important topics in "Lucky Man", "Crawl", "Life's Lessons and "Hell or Heaven." They put great messages into their songs as they always will and have, and have a song dedicated to their long-time bass player Leon Wilkeson who passed away while making this album. This album just proves once again that Southern Rock and Lynyrd Skynyrd is the best music around, as they can play all genres in music into one with a little country, blues and rock which makes up their great sound and legend of the best group ever...LYNYRD SKYNYRD!

I think this is a great album. It has good heavy songs like 'all funked up'and Jake, real good powerballads like 'hell or heaven' 'crawl' and 'red, white and blue',but my favorites is 'dead man walking' a bluesy number with plenty of slideguitar and 'pick em up' where both johnny and rickey sings. But there are so many good songs on this album so i think you find your own favorites! SWEDE
