About the Author

Linda Setnik graduated from California State University, Northridge with honors in history. Enthralled with women's social history of the Victorian period, she devotes much of her free time reading nineteenth-century fashion, beauty, etiquette, household, and medical literature. Linda has delved through thousands of period photographs and works for the Folsom Historical Museum as consultant for their extensive Victorian clothing collection. She is also the author of Victorian Fashions for Women and Children, Society's Impact on Dress (2012).
