Since I was born in 1978 I really had know idea that all of this stuff was going on in the early 80's. About the only thing I remember is watching Regan on TV at my grandmother's house and some graphic on the news (high tech for its time) that showed a satelite of some type nocking a missle out of the sky. Of course this was the imphamis star wars plan. But concern over nuclear weapons is not even half the story. If you were a chld in the eighties and you want to get an understanding your world today then this book is an excellent place to begin. I'm sure you'll be surprised as I was to learn of all the things that went on behind the scenes while you were watching Family Ties!
