About the Author

Mark Zannoni is an American photojournalist and researcher and is an expert on the Vietnam War. He spent a year traveling throughout Vietnam collecting data and images for the book, undertaken with the knowledge of—but without editorial control from—the governments of the US and Vietnam, which were needed for access to certain locations. He holds a BA from Boston University and an MS from Columbia University. It was his intent that this documentation of Vietnam would contribute to the existing and growing literature on the war, as well as to the study of Vietnam and US-Vietnam relations and, in a broader sense, war and reconciliation in general. This title, released in September 2014, is his latest photo documentary.
