About the Author
The Author: Horton Davies is Putnam Professor Emeritus of the Department of Religion at Princeton University. He has written over thirty books and his work has been honored by two Guggenheim Fellowships and a National Endowment of the Humanities Fellowship. Dr. Davies was also Senior lecturer in Church History in two colleges of Oxford University.
