I picked up the book the overview said was “Inspired by a fairytale”. I have found the redo of fairytales are not my cup of tea. I promised to read, review and give my honest opinion so I pick it up never wanting to put it back down. From the first page I thought this isn’t like any fairytale I have read. The author might have got a very few things from one but this will blow your mind from the injustice of the innocent to the controlling of a business. After so many people made fun of him Viktor he turned to the dark hiding away. When he does come out he always wears a mask. Many nights he made a call for a lady of the night to come dance for him. He has never had the same one twice. One night, one call with change his life he will never be the same. One look, one act, and he is hooked like he never was before. She was told do not look him in the face. What she saw was the outline of a man setting in a chair in the dark. She is pulled to him not knowing why but when she is done with her dance and he with his deed she walks to the door only to look him in the eyes. Viktor cannot turn away as he grabs her arm and hold her in place she looks him straight in the eyes and is not afraid. How can she not see the monster in him, he turns and walks away never to forget her. Least did he know within a few days she would be back in his life and he isn’t letting her go this time. This was a very fast pace thriller full of bad men, innocent people, kidnapping and the list goes on. I really can’t tell you more than that or it would give the story away. Just when you think you have a handle on what is going on the story changes throwing you in a twist you never saw coming. The ending is a true shocked one part I had a feeling of, the next one blow my mind at what evil people we have in the world and the things they are willing to do to make money. I loved the characters they really are normal more of a lower class I would say. Each just trying to make it by day by day hoping for a better way of life. Yes Viktor in a lot of ways is evil, is a monster but he truly has a heart of gold. He just has a short fuse that makes him lose control breaking things etc. Alexis doesn’t remember too much of her past life. She remember a nice man, someone telling her to run after that she spends all her time trying to feed her sister. She never wanted to sale her body. There is a fine line between what you will do to protect those you love and what you won’t. I really liked both of these characters. When their story comes out your heart will go out to them wishing you could have been there to make it all better. This is a very well written story with an outstanding plot. You can tell this author took her time working out each step that each person would take. What she ends up with is a wonderful entertaining thriller, mystery, that is action packed with too many people hiding things that you won’t see until the end. You are going to have to look very close to pick up any clues. This is one story you will have trouble putting down and most likely will stay up late at night. You will be hooked for the first page until the last. If you are looking for a story like you have not seen from this author before you should pick this up. I promise you there will be more than one place that will blow your mind in this thrilling read.

Alexis and her younger sister Alisha have lived on the streets most of their lives. Now, Alexis sells herself to keep food in their bellies and the roof of the rented room over their heads. Her friend Deangelo checks out and sets up her "dates" and they split the money. Alisha learned to steal and she's good at it much to Alexis dismay.... Until she tries to steal from the wrong man. It was an act of revenge for the marks he put around Lex's throat. Alexis danced for him last night and she did the one thing she was forbidden to do. She looked at the masked man behind the curtain. He grabbed her throat as she was leaving, but he let her go. Now she is pleading with Viktor not to call the police. He finally agrees, for a price. He wants Alexis to stay with him until he says she can go...... This is a totally twisted story. I mean that quite literally. It's one twist after another. There is no way to prepare you for this disbolical, dark, and erotic version of Beauty & the Beast..... So, Do Ya Think You're Ready?

This book was horrible!! Although it started off with possibility it just went downhill fast. I didn't like any of the characters but especially the leads. I thought maybe the more I got into the story they would redeem themselves but instead I liked them even less. Their personalities were annoying. This was by far one of the worst books I've read in a long time. Doubt I will ever buy another book by this author!

This is my second Clarissa Wild book and I can honestly say that she has picked up a new fan. I have yet to be disappointed by one of her books. In fact, I think they just get better and better. When reading one of Clarissa's books you will be taken by surprise. As soon as you think that you can predict what is about to happen, BAM, you are completely thrown for a loop. This book will have you on the edge of your seat through the entire book dying to find out how it will all pan out. Her characters will have you hooked to the book and rooting for them even though at times you will want to shake the life out of them. You will fly through Clarissa's book and wonder where did the time go because you will be so engrossed into Clarissa's writing. You really can't go wrong with this book, it was so good!

Viktor was very different from a lot of books I've read lately, but in a good way. It was sort of a take on Beauty and The Beast with a little bit of sc-fi thrown in. Viktor was scarred and a loner because his life had spun out of control working for the wrong people . Alexis was a " working girl " taking care of her younger sister Alisha when their paths crossed. What started out as confrontation between Alexis & Viktor soon turned into something else, in the end they saved each other. Did I enjoy it and would I recommend reading this book the answer would be yes.

It was a 196 nook pages. It was an okay story and like the reviews before said a little like beauty and the beast. It is a little dark with the back ground of the main characters. Over all okay.****

What a splendid twist to Beauty & the Beast Right away this book reminded me of Beauty and the Beast but don't get me wrong, it is way different. I loved the writing and the story in this book. There were even some twists that I didn't even see. I think I like this book more than Mr X which is tremendous because I couldn't get enough X. Now....I can't get enough of Viktor. I would love for her to write more about them. I would highly recommend this book. It's not as dark as some of her books but it was still amazing.

I don't usually give reviews but this book was really good. I have never read anything by this author before but was pleasantly surprised by her writing. I love how she switches pov when it makes sense. The story line was unique and keeps you hooked! Oh and its hot!
