Please, please tell me that this book is part of a trilogy or that Norah Roberts will continue the story of the Giambelli-MacMillan family. I loved this book. Grazi!

Love this book. I have read it so many times I have had to replace my paper back 2 times. So happy I got it on my nook color. It's a must read. Love Nora Roberts.

Nora Roberts scores another hit with "The Villa". Love, crime, mystery, suspense, murder - who else but Roberts can combine all of these with the perfect balance of each? She presented strong, three-dimensional characters with powerful personalities. Even though she juggled a plethora of characters and scenarios, she managed to make each one memorable in his or her own way. The storyline was solid and thrilling. My only minor complaint about this book was the lack of romantic development between Sophia and Tyler - I was hoping to see more of that relationship develop. Roberts creates stunning scenery and educates the reader about wine making and the wine industry, which I found fascinating. She manages to inform without boring the reader and kept the storyline from straying too far from its main intention. I was very pleased and delighted with the entire book.

Listening to this book about the wine country in California and Italy was wonderful. I never enjoyed Nora Roberts print books, because I got bogged down in all the descriptive stuff. The well paced voice of the 'reader' kept me engaged in the intricate plot and steamy characters that Roberts develops. I did not see the ending coming as I listened and made guesses about the killer. I have enjoyed listening as I drive around my city, and as I said, I learned so much about the growing of grapes and what is involved in producing a tasty product.

I would like to know if there is a sequel to this book. Would love to see what happens next with these characters.

As always, this was an incredible read by Nora Roberts. I am slowly but surely building up my collection of her books. I do wish there was more to the story though. I want to know what happens with Maddy and Theo. Is there another book about these characters? If so, I would love to read it.

What a great story. It's been a while since I read a Nora Roberts book and I forgot how much I enjoy her writing. There's great family history in this one with romance and a bit of mystery thrown in. Although it's obvious throughout the book who's likely responsible for the damages on the Giambelli family and their winery, the twist at the end was quite a surprise! It's always uplifting to read stories with independent and strong women as the main characters and this story is full of them. They're still sensitive and understanding of the world around them but capable of making their own decisions - from the young Maddy to the grand signora Tereza! A wonderful read from cover to cover!

I've never really read a bad Nora Roberts book.  This one was good - I liked the characters and the story did build...but, the ending was a little anti-climactic.  All in all, a good book an well worth reading.
