When our violence, sex, and selfishness genes go volcanic, we get historic personalities like Genghis Khan, super-aggressive and super-horny Mongol leader who ruled half the world centuries ago, often massacring thousands in captured cities, all the while indulging in raw horse meat and wild orgies, and big-bellied, ultra-rich capitalist J. P. Morgan, a master of cut-throat strategies, actually a modern-day Khan who liked big tits and who screwed his competition financially. Such testosterone-fueled monsters exist today, much to our peril in this nuclear world.
Stephen Hawking, renowned cosmologist, laments that we are in danger of destroying ourselves by our greed and stupidity, and Dr. Eylar in Violence, Sex, and Mice tells us why. Our behavior is dominated by ancient violence, sex, and selfishness genes, the very genes that guided our evolution and preserved our DNA since we split with mice one hundred million years ago, but now activated by a culture in love with wars, guns, drugs, and bloody video games, foment murders galore in our cities, violence against women and children, public massacres, and the power-thirst in corporate, political, and military circles that further impoverish the poor and middle class. Presidents Eisenhower and JFK peacefully defused cold war nuclear threats from Russia, but now, not all our piety nor wit may save us from a nuked future, where "not a creature is stirring, not even a mouse," and it's not Christmas Eve.
