Overview

I had a life, love, and future to give.
Until my enemy took a wife.

The devil has a name, and it's Cristiano de la Rosa. On my wedding day, he was the last man I expected to see standing at the altar. He wants to make me his queen. His brother wants to rescue his princess

Getting Cristiano to lose control becomes the name of the game, and the stakes are life and death. But as truth and lies blur, loyalty is tested, and our chemistry threatens to reach the melting point, the prize grows less clear. Either freedom no longer means what I think it does, or Cristiano is as devious as everyone says, and he's mastered the art of playing my mind.

All I know for certain is that nothing is certain. And all you need to know?
This is a love story.
But even love stories have to end.

This book is everything. I feel as though it's not getting the credit it deserves, this book took my emotions on a ride I wasn't ready for. I LOVE Cristiano more than anything. I love everything about him. Natalia irks me to no end. I feel the same way Cristiano does, she has so much more in her. She went from being this feeble princess who trust the wrong people to questioning everyone and their motives. I really believe the 3rd book is her breakout book, shes going to soar and I really hope it's with Cristiano!

5 violent stars! Review by Nancy Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog I am officially one hundred percent invested in this trilogy. It is the definition of what I love to read in a mafia book. It is raw, violent, intense and it is absolutely captivating. Violent Ends is the second book in the White Monarch trilogy by Jessica Hawkins. You do have to read Violent Delights in order to understand this second book, believe me, you’ll want to read it! In the first book, we were introduced to our heroine Natalia and both the De La Rosa brothers, Diego and Cristiano. We were left trying to figure out who the bad guy was in the story and who Natalia would end up with. J. Hawkins left us with a lot of questions and a lot of anticipation. At the end of Violent Delights, I was at war with myself as to who I wanted to cheer on, now I know. I am rooting for Natalia and Cristiano to have some semblance of a happily ever after. Although in their world that might not be a possibility. I had an inkling that Cristiano was the good guy in this story despite not being so good. Yes he is the head of his cartel, but his cartel isn’t all that people have accused it of being. Behind closed doors Cristiano is trying to right some wrongs from his past, but more than anything he is trying to do right by those who have been wronged. He is a fierce and loyal leader. He has an army standing behind him that will give their lives for him. The problem is, all he wants is his new wife to trust him, to get to know him, to take a minute to see the real him. That feeling might just be his demise. Natalia has loved Diego ever since she was a little girl. She has also hated Cristiano for that long. No matter how many times Cristiano proves her wrong, no matter how many times he shows his true colors to her, she will never trust him. Let alone love him. So why does her body betray her, why does she crave and want his touch? Cristiano is hell-bent on waiting until she goes to him of her own free will, but she is determined to make him wait for the rest of their lives. What will happen when danger comes knocking at their door? Will she finally realize that Cristiano will go to the end of the world for her, or will their story end in a tragedy. I guess we will have to wait to find out... Talk about a jaw-dropping cliffhanger! I was at the edge of my seat up until the very last word. This is the reason I personally can not read trilogies. The anticipation of what comes next is too much. But I will say, this book is so worth the wait. I would read it again in a heartbeat. I can not wait to see how this story ends! J. Hawkins has done an absolutely phenomenal job with this story and I can only expect the series to get better. I am anticipating the trilogy to end with a bang and I can not wait!

THIS SERIES! The OBSESSION is REAL!!! I finished Violent Ends last night, and I’m completely mind blown and dying for more. Emphasis on dying...because THAT CLIFFHANGER. And the fire that’s brewing between Christiano and Natalia is absolutely TORTUROUS. She may be putting up a fight when it comes to her heart, but for me? DONE. GONER. Christiano de la Rosa with his dirty mouth and unwavering protectiveness has stolen it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you’ve not started this series, then DO IT. It’s an intensely addictive must read!!!

How do I express what I feel about this book. Yes it’s a continuation and yes there is a book three. I adore Cristiano. At the end of book one I wasn’t sure how to feel about him but in this book we find so much about him. I can’t tell you because... gah!!! And Natalia? I did like her in book one. She was fighting for love. In this book she is close minded. I wanted to slap her and tell her to use her instincts and her own mind. She does become a strong person through this book and she eventually sort of comes around. Waiting for the last installment might just kill me.

A captivating continuation of the White Monarch trilogy. Jessica Hawkins left us hanging in the most desirable way with her jaw-dropping ending in Violent Delights. Everything we thought we knew had exploded before our eyes and now we had a whole new hero to focus our attention on. The chemistry between Natalia and Cristiano gave me thrills beyond compare, and quite possibly, some soaked panties. We saw snippets of it in book 1, just enough to whet our appetite for Cristiano and prepare us for all that he is. As Natalia prepares for the worst as the bride of the devil, she finds herself cursing her traitorous body as it responds to Cristiano’s filthy and provocative words. Lustful desires are brought to the surface and Natalia wonders how long she can deny herself the pleasures he is sure to deliver. Cue the soaked panties. While Natalia continues her steadfast determination, Cristiano steps up his game and has all of us wanting him and hoping Natalia goes over the edge. Their iron-will to stay focused on their goals is commendable and Jessica Hawkins has raised the bar where sexual tension and anticipation is concerned. At this point in the game, no one writes it better. Jessica has nailed it. Any reader who is not #TeamCristiano by the end of book 2 hasn’t read the same book I did. After book 1, Violent Delights, readers were left with many questions and many readers were teetering on the bring of which hero to cheer for. Violent Ends brings to light much of Cristiano’s past and opens his wounds to us. We see his emotional struggles with internal demons and desires for more than love. Cristiano craves unconditional love, trust, and loyalty. Even knowing having those things may ultimately lead to his downfall. Natalia has been raised in this world but has been sheltered from much of it. Cristiano is opening her eyes to his cartel and preparing her to stand by his side as his wife and queen. Cristiano is still dealing with a past that everyone believes and trying to redeem himself through the truth. No matter the good he has done and has revealed to Natalia, she still struggles to let go of a lifetime of hate. This proved to be a little frustrating for me as a reader who wanted her to see the truth a little faster but she is coming around and I anticipate that book 3 is going to be epic. Violent Ends was amazing by all accounts. I was gripped by the words, sucked in to a world where evil isn’t what it seems, the past is being revealed, and the future is uncertain. Jessica’s writing is clearly on another level. She doles out the secrets we need to know in small bites, letting the reader wrap their mind around what is being said and what is going on before she hands us a little bit more. By the time you get to the shocking ending, your eyes have been flying over the pages, your heart is beating a mile a minute, and you are most certainly trying to pick your jaw up off the floor. Hang on for a tension-filled ride, be prepared for your loyalties to be tested, maybe even develop new ones, and open your mind to all the possibilities still to come our way with book 3, Violent Triumphs. There is so much more story to tell and I cannot wait. My calendar is marked and my schedule cleared.

Wow! I feel as if I spent the day in a fun house, where nothing is what it appears to be. This the gist of what is happening in Violent Ends. It picks up right after the unbelievable wedding of Natalia and Cristiano, the devil himself or is it his brother who is the real devil? No real answers only more questions and a gigantic cliff hanger. Shaking my head, now we wait until November to have all our questions answers! My guess is the spoiler room is going to be chock full of questions, tons and tons of questions and inquiries that only person has the answers to, but does she even know yet? Um, wonder if her characters are talking?

My first reaction when I finished this book was “NOOOOO!” I‘m not ready for it to be over, for these magical words to come to an end. I was hooked from the very beginning, and I’m dying to know what happens next. I feel like a toddler, unable to handle my big emotions. I keep wanting to grab my phone to read some more, only to then want to throw my phone across the room because I’m already done. I want to cry because it’s over. I want to jump into the author’s head to find out what happens next. I am not ok. This trilogy is going to wreck me, I just know it. Ten violently delightful stars!

Jessica Hawkins knows how to tell a story. Hook Line and Sinker. Well, because of how Violent Delights ended I was super beyond excited to get Violent Ends. To get some and ALL the answers. I love that this began right where we left off. It was like pressing 'pause' and then 'play' .... How good it felt to be back in this world OF Love, Lust, Betrayal, Survival and Loyalty. The chemistry between these 2 is Freaken Off the Pages! Slow burn. Slooooow NICE burn. It is interesting to see the built-up of their relationship. I like that Natalia started seeing things clear. Although at times I still wanted to yell at her "Grow up!" but I did see her growth throughout and in the end she was a different woman. Many new introduced amazing characters. Fabulous characters from book 1. I'm excited to see where the last book of this trilogy will take us. The ending...... I CAN'T EVEN. That's what I have to say about THAT ENDING. I NEED book 3 please.

This second installment in the White Monarch trilogy continues to take my breathe away! Violent Ends picks up where Violent Delights left off. Natalia has been tricked into marrying the man she has despised for most of her life, believing he murdered her mother. Then she is taken to live in a place she believes holds unimaginable atrocities. She grew up sheltered, treated like a princess, and never wanted to live in the brutal world of a cartel. Now she is in the midst it, and trying to find a way out. But she is surprised by how safe Cristiano makes her feel, and his dominance calls to her. He is complex and makes her question everything she knows. This slow burn, and seductive story takes us on a journey with twists and turns that are riveting and heart-stopping! In this world of power, money, and revenge, loyalty was everything and it is hard knowing who you could trust. Natalia frustrated me a bit with her naivete and some of her actions, but it only made me appreciate her more as she became stronger. This story is so beautifully written with captivating characters, brilliant banter, and sexual tension that leaps right off the page. I was completely caught off guard by the shocking ending and didn't want it to end there. I loved this beautiful masterpiece and can't wait to find out what happens in the final book, Violent Triumphs!

5 edge of your seat stars for Violent Ends! Mierda!! After that cliffhanger ending in Violent Delights, I couldn't wait to get my hands on book 2 to see what happens between Natalia and Cristiano. How is she going to handle the situation that Diego has put her in? For such a privileged and protected girl, does she have the fortitude to hold her own against El Polvo, the nickname given to Cristiano? She's heard the most terrible rumors about him all these years, is she going to survive him? I absolutely loved seeing things from Cristiano's perspective. Learning from his conversations with Natalia what rumors are true and which ones aren't. I knew from the beginning that he was the brother I was going to side with, regardless of what he's done in the past or is doing now. Natalia is very quick to think on her feet and she holds her own against Cristiano, but Por el amor de Dios, I wanted to shake her SO many times! She is holding so steadfastly to things she thinks she knows without any concrete proof, and is so stubborn to not let go of preconceived notions. Oy, I wanted to crawl into the pages of the book and be like, "girl...let's have a chat." There are twists and turns galore, hints placed that are leading us toward a dramatic conclusion in this explosive series!! The slow burn between Natalia and Cristiano is scorching hot!! I'm trying so hard not to forget anyone or anything as I'm reading because I just know things are going to pop up in book 3 that I wasn't paying attention to along the way and those things are going to rock my socks!! Jessica has me totally enthralled and invested in the Cartel life! I thought that cliffy we got at the end of book 1 was bad. The cliffy at the end of book 2 nearly made me pee my pants! Jessica is pure evil to leave us like that!! Come on November, I NEED the rest of the story!

Jessica Hawkins has completely stolen my breath away with the newest installment in her addictively captivating White Monarch Trilogy. This phenomenal author has managed to wholeheartedly captivate my body, mind, and soul once again while knocking me right on my a** with the twists and turns she throws at us every step of the way. Her beautifully raw storytelling ability has perfectly captured this twisted world. Cristiano de la Rosa is my ultimate dream man and he’s even managed to steal every inch of my heart and soul. Just when I thought I couldn’t fall for him more, he surprises me with his compassion and love for his new wife, Natalia Cruz. Every time I think I finally have him figured out, he does something totally unexpected, leaving me swooning. I just wish Natalia would open up her sweet little naïve eyes and finally realize that everything he is doing is to protect her…the one he loves, even if he hasn’t admitted it yet. I even have a small inkling that she’s starting to fall for him too. There is so much I want to say about this story right now, but I am still beyond speechless from that cliffhanger ending! Jessica Hawkins sure know how to keep us on our toes and now I am counting down the days until I can FINALLY get my hands on Violent Triumphs, the final book in the White Monarch Trilogy! #IsItNovemberYet?! #NeedItNow #ILoveCristiano

This is book two in this sinfully delicious and darkly twisted series. It is essential that you read book one, Violent Delights first. Otherwise you will not get the complete story and feel lost. Wow! Just when you think that things can not get more intense or hotter, they do. Cristiano and Natalia's relationship is deepening and evolving. Natalie has matured so much as the story has unfolded and she needs that maturity as more secrets and lies swirl around her. In my opinion though, she has to make further progress in this area to truly be the strong, savvy, empowered heroine she needs to be. Cristiano is incredibly intense (and HOT!!!). Dominate, brutal and a master manipulator, I still feel there is so much more to this character to explore. This book delivers a jaw-dropping, breath stealing, emotional roller coaster ride that will totally blindside you with a stunning OMG cliffhanger that will leave you needing more now! This is my independent, impartial review.

Cristiano is my new buzz! I love love him and I have not felt this passionate about the hero of a story is a very long time. I get excited as I keep turning the pages. He is so passionate when it comes to those he cares about. He is Robin Hood but in a Cartel style way. Plus he makes my blood boil. Natalia is growing more on me. I feel like she has these blinders on and only what she knows is good. But she is starting to see Cristiano in a new light. I am hoping when she finally figures things out, its not too late. The END!!! Gah I was holding my breath and I feel like I still cannot breath. I am anticipating to see what happens and if anyone survives. From the first book there is one thing that stays in my mind, "You will die for your husband." An older lady told this to Natalia that has yet escaped me. I need more!!

Oh my heart....Cristiano. He is everything you would think of but oh so much more. I love him and I’m rooting for him. I would have fell to my knees at the end of book 1. This book continues where book 1 ended and it does NOT disappoint. I’m in full hangover mode and wishing my summer away! I am hoping November comes quickly!

Violent Ends by Jessica Hawkins a five-star read that will end you. This is number two in the White Monarch series and they are best read in order. The tension and drama in this series just gets better and better, its dark and dramatic and so powerful it will knock your socks off!! Natalia becomes a woman in this story, she grows and develops before your eyes. I don’t know what to say other that wow, I don’t want to give spoilers, but this was just simply sublime. I can honestly say that this is going to be one of the best series this year!!
