To what extent do students of teaching theology engage with theological questions? Carolin M. Altmann develops the "theory of the dealing of students with theological questions", which shows that student teachers in theology are actually often motivated to become aware of their own theological positions and to develop them further in order to form and secure their identity. In a second step, this volume asks to what extent one's own theological reflection and thinking can influence the concrete leadership of Theological Conversations. On the basis of conversation transcripts, the "Extended Role Model for Leading Theological Conversations" makes it clear that the attitude of the researchers involved is fundamental for good leadership of theological conversations.
