How fine is that line dividing a lie from the truth? Logan Cutter and his brothers have made a successful treasure hunting business out of nothing. They salvage from the sea what was once a ship loaded with everything and then some and reap the wealth of their find. When Logan fishes “Annie” out of the water, he never thought she might be his best catch. Annie has woven a story for Logan that is setting off his BS meter and that is something no one should ever do. Having been raised by the master of smoke and mirrors Logan always wants the truth and Annie is telling him everything but and still he is letting her get to him. Her reason for being in the water and how she just happens knows where the ship he is looking for is located adds up to trouble. Annie it appears is the kind of trouble Logan may be looking for as the more he stands next to her the more he wants to kiss her and fulfill too many fantasies to count. When the real past that Annie has been hiding comes aboard to not only steal the treasure, eliminate the witnesses, and kidnap Annie well Logan goes on high alert. Having found the treasure he has been seeking brings out the true reason for Logan’s existence and he will do anything to keep Annie safe, or whatever her name really is. Cherry Adair is the master of writing romance the makes you sigh woven around just the right amount of suspense to keep you reading to the last word.

Reviewed by Ursula Book provided by the publisher for review Review originally posted at Romancing the Book The beginning of Vortex grabbed me and held on tight. I love a book that starts with action from the word ‘go’! Vortex doesn’t disappoint! What could set up for a better story than a damsel in distress, a behemoth of a dog that is fiercely loyal, bad guys coming from every direction and a ship full of half naked men? Vortex has it all! Dani/Annie has secrets that she won’t share. But are they secrets worth risking innocent lives for? Dani must struggle with inner demons and a surprising and unwelcome attraction to the man that saved her life; Logan. Logan is a man that can be counted on and a man that minds his own business. The one thing he can’t stand is a liar! Now that he’s brought this wounded beauty on his ship, he doesn’t know whether to trust her or not…and for good reason; she is lying through her teeth. Logan must find out what is going on with Dani and protect all that is his; which includes the crew on his ship. He goes through great length’s to find out who Dani really is, and what she’s up to, while coming to grips with feelings he’s never felt before. I enjoyed the story. It has all the needed ingredients for an excitement filled romance with an edge of danger. The characters are well done and very likeable. There was a little too much description about things that didn’t move the story along. There were some parts I skimmed to get back to the ‘meat’ of the story. But other than that, it was a good, quick read and a good way to spend a rainy Saturday.

When Logan Cutter pulls Daniele out of the sea he’s not quite sure what to expect. On the run from a vindictive ex, Dani feigns amnesia as she seeks shelter on Logan’s ship. Follow Logan and Dani on their adventure of treasure hunting, danger and deceit all the while falling into their desire for each other. Vortex is book three in Cherry Adair’s Cutter Cay series and will leave you satisfied, but wanting more.

This story is about Logan Cutter who is the oldesst of three brothers. He is retreiving treasure from a long lost book when he ends up having to save Annie from the middle of the ocean. You really need to read this book to find out exactly what happens to Logan and Annie. You will be on the edge of your seat throughout the whole book. I couldn't put it down until I read the whole book. Cherry Adair has written another great book. I highly recommend you read it.

Another great read by Cherry Adair. I could't put this book down, needing to know what happened next. Fast paced with an interesting story line. I can't wait to read the next book and hopefully we will find out more about the Sea Witch.

The very best Cherry book I have read. Loved it. Good story, start to finish. Wish the other family members had been more involved. We could have gotten to know the new brother a little bit. But the story, was excellent.
