A Great Romantic Read Wait for Me by Mary Kay McComas starts out capturing the readers attention from the very beginning. The first thing that the reader finds out is that someone has died. The reader soon finds out this is the main character, Holly Ann Loftin, and that she comes back from the dead. She was clinically dead for eight minutes, but now she is back and better than ever. After reading the prologue, you want to continue reading to see what happens to this woman that has just died. Holly Loftin is on a plane to visit her big adopted family for Thanksgiving in Los Angeles, when she meets the man next to her on the plane, Oliver Carey, who seems so sad and needs a shoulder to cry on. Holly offers him comfort when she finds out his father is ill after suffering a heart attack and they connect on a very personal level. After Oliver saves her life in the airport, she invites him to her family's restaurant for a free "thank you for saving me" dinner. Surprisingly to Holly, he shows up with his family and the romance begins. This is made easier by them both living in the San Francisco area. Unfortunately, they come from very different socioeconomic backgrounds. Holly works hard for the little she has, when Oliver has come from a family of old money. Can they work out their money differences? How will their families react? Could this be true love? I really enjoyed reading Wait for Me. I would rate it a 4 out of 5 stars. This novel would be good for anyone that loves a good romance and thinks it is possible for reincarnation and meeting your true love again and again in other lives.
