About the Author

Princella Smith is a screenwriter and film director. She is the author of Walk In The Light, a children's book based on her animated, short film by the same name about a blind hero of the Oklahoma City Bombing. Princella wrote, directed, and produced Walk In The Light. It is currently still in the film festival circuit, and it has been nominated for "Outstanding Animated Short Film" at the NAACP Image Awards.Princella is a Boston / New England Regional Emmy nominee garnering recognition for "Best Director" for a Public Service Announcement about PTSD in first responders titled "The World Watched." She is also the creator and co-author of the Beauty for Ashes Book Series about survivors and first responders of the Oklahoma City Bombing.
