**I received this book in turn for an honest review.** ***Some spoilers ahead I loved this book. First of all, I am always a sucker for a romance/love story. Second of all, I love when there is action or adventure or some other type of plot added in that is not just romance or love. I was immediately taken with Kenna and Donovan's romance. I think they needed each other to help heal each other. They both had their issues but together they just made sense and dealt with their issues together.  I am always emotionally attached to characters in books. For the time that I am reading the book, I am a part of their world, I am experiencing what they are experiencing and knowing that this book was inspired by true events made it that much more emotional for me. I really want to know what happens with Kenna and her mom and see if they can maybe heal and have some type of relationship again, but I don't want anything to come in between the new life that Kenna has built for herself with Donovan. Also, after the scene with the gunman and Donovan, my heart was racing! I thought he was dead and I was almost heartbroken until I speed read and found out he was okay. I am super glad he is okay but I am going to be really nervous reading about his endeavors as a cop I think. Anyway, I think this book was quite fantastic. It kept me wanting to read and kept me in suspense. I often times found myself staying up way past my bedtime to just read a few more pages or one more chapter. I think this was written quite well and that the author created the characters really well. They came to life and just like the other books I read I felt like I was experiencing everything with them.

Kenna Sloane escapes her home in the middle of the night to get away from her abusive step-father and her mother, who does nothing to stop the abuse. Kenna moves in with the best friend, Danielle, and starts a new life. She keeps her abusive past well hidden behind the walls she has built to keep her safe. Danielle sets Kenna up on a date with a hot rookie police officer, Donovan Alexander. Although there is chemistry between the two, Kenna seems confused over how she fels about Donavan and pushes him away. Finally, Donovan starts breaking down her walls by being patient and understanding. Eventually, we learn Kenna isn't the only one with a troubled past. Donavan is harboring some guilt of his own. I really wanted to love this book. Who does not love a man in uniform? Unfortunately, it was just an o.k. read for me. My biggest problem was not being able to connect with Kenna. She keeps telling us that she is mature beyond her years (repeatedly) because of the abuse and yes, she does act like a 19 going on 40. But there are times when she is so immature and naïve. She says she numbs herself with boys, but then says she only had sex once. Her thoughts and feelings had me overwhelmed sometimes. My head was spinning trying to keep up with it all. I absolutely adored Donovan. He was so protective and sweet with Kenna and helped her understand what love really is. Although Kenna said he was an Alpha, I consider Donavan a more Alpha-in-training. I am still undecided If I am going to read book 2, Turn to Me, which is due out in early 2015. I am curious how some of the pieces of the story wraps up, so I think I will give in. Thank you Ms. Stone, for the opportunity to read and review your book. ***I received a copy of the book from the author in exchange for an honest review***

Warning This book contains little bit of everything funny, sweet, heartwarming, steamy, passionate, and heartbreaking. 5 awesome stars.  Donovan is so swoon worthy.  Who doesn't love a man in uniform?  Love this book and I didn't want to put it down when I'm at work, had to know what happened with Donovan and Kenna.  I was hooked by the synopsis. Once I started, I knew this was going to be a interesting book. It was written with love and vulnerability that was expressed through the characters.  Both are very likeable characters. You'll fall in love with both of them with push and pull of emotions with both of them. Donovan and Kenna were introduced to each through mutual friends and starts on a journey of finding love, healing and trust.  Kenna Had abusive childhood so she has her guard up when it comes to people.  She has a strange feeling of security whenever she is around Donovan. Tall, dark, sexy, sweet, generous, charming, funny and protective are what I would describe Donovan as but he has issues that he had to deal with on his own for a few years.  I can't wait for Danielle and Tyler

This was a sweet story about 2 people who find each other and learn what it means to be happy. The characters were wonderful and the story line was inspiring. Donovan and Kenna are introduce to each other through mutual friends and start on a journey that is exciting but also scary. Donovan is had a good head on his shoulders. He’s responsible, protective, sweet, and a sexy as hell police officer in Santa Monica. He has an event in his past that has helped him choose his line of work. Kenna is a strong and independent college student who has escaped the oppression of her mother and step-father. She doesn’t open up to anyone completely, until she meets Donovan. These two really do bring the best out in each other and I really enjoyed their story as it developed over the course of the story. The characters grow and learn to become better versions of themselves. The story line was sweet and inspiring. I did feel the dialogue was a little stiff at times but other than that it was a great story. The overall story line flowed well and I enjoyed the book. I look forward to reading more from this series. 4 out of 5 stars!

Kaitlyn Stone just put the "New" in New Adult with Kenna and Donovan’s story. By that, I mean that Kenna and Donovan—even though they are broken people—choose not to let their brokenness be an excuse to lead them down the wrong path in life. Kenna was an abused child and teen, and Donovan carries false guilt of a family tragedy. Both chose careers that would help heal them in their mind and body, by giving of their selves and offering help to maybe saving others. But there was still one more place that needed healing, and that was their hearts. For that they needed each other. Kaitlyn Stone has written a beautiful love story with Kenna and Donovan. It's a love that finds two people who are truly meant to be each other’s soul mates. Who would not be complete without each other. The one and only true love of your life of that person who loves you unconditionally. That's the power of true love that will bring the full healing for these two damage hearts. Kenna and Donovan will mend each other with the healing light of true love from their own brokenness. WALK WITH ME is definitely the right title to describe Kenna and Donovan's love story. I even love the way they knew not to rush, but wait for the right time in their relationship to make love, so it would be beautiful and they were able to cherish one another. I highly recommend WALK WITH ME as a love story that will touch your heart and make you wish for your own.
