denise hays lives in Alabama, where she never has and never will eat poke salad. She loves to fiddle with writing, and write about fiddling. Except for the fiddling part, she’s not anything like Niki Edgar, the hilarious female sleuth she has created, which her mother will probably be happy to hear. Oh yes, and denise does love a Godiva every now and then. And maybe a margarita or two.

She lives on a farm in rural Alabama. She enjoys gardening, exercising, reading, music, and making pottery. She lives with her husband and a visiting cat named Elizabeth. She has three sons whom she adores and the sweetest daughters-in-law in the world.

denise graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Creative Writing. She is the author of several other books, but denise is a pseudonym, so good luck finding those :-)
