Drawing on stories of monks, rabbis, and soldiers; fairy tales and legends; gentle jokes and Zen sayings; Anthony de Mello awakens us to a practical, direct connection with the divine. His exercises encourage a relinquishing of the ego, an acceptance of people as they are, and a freedom from fear and anxiety. De Mello's words strengthen our faith. Upheld by the divine love all around us we feel that we too are "walking on water."

This book continues DeMello's tradition of opening our eyes to what has been before us. He offers us a new way to explore our religious beliefs and to live with one another. His emphasis on truly experiencing the reality of God and other people rather than confining them to our limited preconceptions and biases is a completely refreshing way to think about one's spiritual life.
DeMello's words are like water in the desert. This is a guide book of how to live, love and feel whole. How often are we taught that feeling good is just out of our reach? DeMello is convincingly sure we can stop believing that nonsense and get back in touch with our birthright....peace.
