About the Author

After spending 14 years as a professional musician, Dr. O'Bireck received his PhD and taught college in both Canada and the USA for the next 25 years. Retirement soon became a little routine, so Dr. O'Bireck decided to continue his book writing career (Gettin' Tall, Not a Kid Anymore, Human Portraits, Age Five, and Chronicle of Corruption along with three academic articles) by framing the structure of a true story that took place in May 1971 in Walla Beach. In this volume, we study the life-threatening journey toward adulthood for young bikers Bear, Tramp, and Zeke over the course of a taxing holiday weekend. This breathtaking story is still told and re-told every May 24th weekend by residents, bikers, campers, and tourists alike.
