Short, easy-to-read book. Children in late elementary or early middle school would probably enjoy this book the most.

The primes of the book has great potential, children are given a gift box, that allows them to go and join the prehistoric quests of the golden age of Gods and Demigods. The book is written in a very simple language with short paragraphs, and simple problems each chapter. Its a good start to bringing the Roman and Greek gods to young readers.

Title: War Of The Gods - The Chimera Box Author & Illustrators: Justin E Borrego, Marco Antonio Borrego & Juan David Borrego Publisher: New Generation Publishing Published: 10-30-2013 ISBN-10: 1910053384 ISBN-13: 978-1910053386 E-Book ASIN: B00GC1H9FK Pages: 42 Genre: Children's Fiction Tags: Fantasy What is a Chimera Box? It may look like a plain cardboard box from the outside. But once you open it light, hope, dreams and imagination burst out. This plain cardboard box will allow your imagination to take you everywhere and become anyone or anything. Get into your own Chimera Box and welcome the world of imagination. Justin was surprised one rainy boring day when his mother presented him with an unexpected gift, a Chimera Box. This particular box held all Justin's dreams and hopes and as he steps into the box he is transported to the times of the Greek and Roman gods. With his box Justin will save everyone from the wrath of Zues and Jupiter who have imprisoned the 30 most powerful gods and captured their powers and placed those powers inside the last magical Szaferi birch flower. They then hid the flower where no one could get it. Then they declared the death of all demigods so that none could pose a threat to them ever again. Only one demigod was protected and hidden away to be trained so that when he turned seventeen he could be ready to take on the task of finding the magical Szaferi birch flower and release the other gods from their frozen prison. The tasks will be deadly and difficult. Justin is the only hope of the human race. If he survives the tasks and succeeds in releasing the gods it is hoped that a balance will be restored and humanity is to live in peace. Learn how Justin survived the mass death of all demigods? Who can he trust on his journey? This is a very good story for young readers. Both my nine and ten year old nephews enjoyed this story very much. The illustrations are not the best, but they do reflect the story. I would look to get further stories in the Chimera Box series to give to my nephews.

a magical and inspirational story where a young boy must find the hero within, complete dangerous tasks, and save the world from the wrath of Zeus and Jupiter. A very enjoyable read for children 5-9.
