Warm Hands by Margaret Johnson-Hodge

Mya is feeling free and content after months of heartbreaking sadness in the aftermath of breaking up with her commitment-phobic boyfriend, Vincent. She's taken up running, looks good, and has no intention of starting another relationship. Then she meets Jeff. Handsome, decent, and kind, he's a keeper-the kind of man she's always wanted...the man she is about the marry. Until she stuns herself and everyone else by betraying Jeff...with Vincent.

Hurt and angry, Jeff walks out of her life, leaving Mya alone to confront her deepest self and her destructive behavior. In doing so, she takes a brave look at her own life and the family patterns she learned to follow. Through a haze of pain, despair and desperation, Mya awakens to life's truest lessons: self-love is the most important love of all, and only by loving yourself can others truly love you...

' Warm Hands', is one of my favorite books of all time. Not only did I enjoy this book, but I also changed my whole confidence of myself. Yes, from just one book. I cried, laughed, and and learned. Today i give my book to friends to read. If you read this book you will not regret it. I wish I can thank Margaret Johnson-Hodge for writing and sharing this beautiful book with me and the world. Read and enjoy. Love and Happiness to everyone. Hoping for you will find true love like Mya did, but most importantly within yourself...

Warm Hands was a very honest, down to earth book. A reality check into why it is so important to love yourself before you can allow anyone else to love you. I strongly recommend this book to all the single ladies out there. Ms Hodges-Johnson took us to the bridge on this one. She really outdone herself. Keep up the good work!

Mrs. Johnson-Hodge does it once again. The way Mya was able to look inside yourself and find the real meaning of life(HAPPINESS) was great. I just wished Jeff and Mya could have made it.

What struck me first about Warm Hands was how personal and poetic the prose was. The narrative is so intense you will be caught up from the initial breathless words. Margaret Johnson-Hodge continues her tradition of honesty as she delves deeply into the character, Mya. Mya's like us: she just wants to be happy. And she equates happiness with finding her soul mate. When she lucks upon Jeff I'm elated for her. However Ms. Johnson-Hodge has a few gut-wrenching changes in store for Mya. I disagree with the reviewer from Publisher's Weekly. I believe Mya went through hell and back before her transformation. It was nowhere near seamless. If you've ever contemplated cheating, read this book first. It's an eye-opener!
