About the Author

Wendy Knight was born and raised in Utah by a wonderful family who spoiled her rotten because she was the baby. Now she spends her time driving her husband crazy with her many eccentricities (no water after five, terror when faced with a live phone call, etcetera, etcetera). She also enjoys chasing her three adorable kids, playing tennis, watching football, reading, and hiking. Camping is also big: her family is slowly working toward a goal of seeing all the National Parks in the U.S.
You can usually find her with at least one Pepsi nearby, wearing ridiculously high heels for whatever the occasion may be. And if everything works out just right, she will also be writing.

I opened up Warrior Beautiful.. just to read a chapter or two, and didn't come up until the last page. Grrrr This is another wonderful read by Wendy Knight, who has a knack for pulling you in to a wonderful story. I love unicorns, so especially enjoyed this book.  Scout was a wonderful MC and I really enjoyed the relationship she had with her sister. Now Trey... Trey, Trey, Trey. Their relationship, or current lack thereof and how this came to be was very well done. This was something I haven't read a lot of in YA and found it very refreshing. Definitely recommend.

This is a action packed adventure through a world of magic and wonder. Scout is a very smart and strong leading lady but her little sister sure does steal the show with her amazing world view. Lil Bit is so unique you can't help but adore her. Trey is just so perfect for the role of helping her and Lil Bit save the world from Soul Stealing evil. The Unicorns in this world are so unique and interesting to read about I found myself reading the entire book in one night just completely fascinated by this take on a world protected by these amazing animals and their reluctant partnership with human riders. So excited to visit this world again and see what happens next.

Another free for review This was one of the most emotional books I have ever read. As I was reading I felt the characters pain and happiness. I felt their lives. I laughed, i cried, i shouted during victory and prayed when they were in a tight spot. If the second book were out I would be begging the author for a copy because the cliffhanger while a good stopping point is driving me crazy with curiosity. the characters are so realistic you could be one. they dont get thrust into amazing circumstances and just instantly adopt and be great at it. they work at it. they all have different issues and personalities and are simply amazing. I cannot wait to read another book by wendy knight my new fave author.

I really enjoyed this story. The characters were well fleshed out, even the unicorn ones. One of the things I admire about Wendy Knight's books is that the heroine is very strong and capable, the type of girl I would want my daughter to read about and want to relate to. I appreciate the clean language as well. The story is imaginative and fresh, and it has...talking unicorns! Overall, an excellent read.

Scout has been broken in more ways than one. The one person she trust completely is her little sister Lil Bit. Lil Bit is very special and sees unicorns and knows things. She knows Soul Stealers are on their way and the cause of an epidemic. Now she has to see if she really believes Lil Bit as it is up to her to save her town. She goes on the hunt for unicorns and is surprised at what she finds. Scout now has to help the unicorns fight the soul stealers but she has to learn to let go of all her pain. That is hard to do when the source of most of her pain is right with her. Her ex boyfriend just won't let go of her and wants to help her. Scout has to prepare for the battle of her life. Scout has been hurt physically and mentally in her past. She holds a lot of anger inside her. Her one ray of sunshine is Lil Bit. She is also very tough as she battles pain to make Lil Bit happy. I really liked her as she has so much fire in her. Lil Bit is very special to Scout and I can see why. She is an innocent but very sweet person. Trey I did like even if he made a few mistakes. He did keep trying so I have to give him credit. I love unicorns and as soon I saw this book I wanted to read it. It is so amazing and different. You get to know all about Scout and the others and what they have been through. It's not just the humans you get to know but the unicorns as well. You see why this battle rages on and what caused it. I love the scenes where the unicorns live it is a very magical place. I have to sat Scout got paired up with Ashra and they are the perfect match. they both have so much spirit and fire that they make a great team. I will say the one character I didn't like is Kylin I wanted to smack this girl so bad. This is packed full of adventure and is a magical journey. If you grew up loving unicorns you will love this book. I simply can't wait for the next one. I have to know what happens next.

I have to be honest...I heard the word "unicorn" and thought "um this book isn't going to be my thing." But, since I'm such a fan of the author's work, I had to give it a read. And...I LOVED IT! I was sucked in immediately and read the entire book in a day. While I've enjoyed all of this author's books, this one is definitely my favorite.  I think what made this story so compelling, in part, is how broken the characters are. Trey and Scout are so completely damaged, and my heart ached for them from page one. Their relationship felt so genuine and real. And what kept them apart felt completely believable as well--not something that could be solved with a conversation. I also fell in love immediately with Lil Bit, and love the relationship she and Scout share. Kylin is awful, but even then I saw enough glimpses of a softer side that I couldn't hate her completely. And the unicorns were awesome! Now, I by no means claim to be an expert on unicorns, but this was a take on them I'd never seen or heard before.  I really enjoyed the fight scenes in this book. The soul stealers are seriously creepy! Throughout the whole book, I felt like I was actually there, participating in the story instead of just being told about it. I was sucked into the world and the story the entire book. The author left the book on a cliffhanger note that is killing me, and I cannot wait for book two! I received a free ecopy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
