Gone are the days of swords and shields, knights and paladins. But warriors still walk among us. Their strength and grace is as effective in dealing with today's challenges as it was in olden times. Their intensity and resolve can be applied to every task in our day to day lives, from work to working out. Their patience and focus are essential to living a stress-free life. Their courage and fortitude allow us to seek success and happiness, not simply wait for it as so many others do. Their selflessness and love reveals to us the greatest purpose in life: service to others. Their balance and peace ensures that nothing will ever shake any of our other virtues. All of these elements combine to form the greatest inspirational tool of all: wisdom.

The book suggests reading one poem a day for a month and it will help provide the extra push to become motivated and enthusiastic about our day. The poems are great and I am constantly reading these poems because they help keep me positive, motivated and anxious to tackle the day and all the curve balls life tries to throw
Don't let the "poetry" aspect discourage you, these are not dark and depressing rhymes. Warrior Poet Wisdom is filled with uplifting, empowering and inspirational poems (that actually rhyme!) about a wide range of subjects that we deal with the stresses and challenges of every day life, as well as showing appreciation for the things we're blessed with. The morals and wisdom of Miro's writings are even more poignant thanks to the wonderful rhythm of each piece. Warning: while most of the poems will rouse you to get up off the couch and try harder, there are a few tear jerkers, so have your Kleenex ready for such touching tributes as "Brother" and "Warriors." 5 stars!
